It did, though it seems this elemental arm looks much less elemental. His hand is, clearly, black, but the question is, if it's blackened because of a tattoo (and part of the arm is, indeed, tattooed) or blackened because of the elementals and then tattooed...

I think whoever did the art didn't get the memo on Doomhammer history. Which is fine. It's an easy fix. Just change the history in the artifact book. It's not like anyone is super tied to the Blackhand elemental arm story anyway.

The ogres look exactly like the WoD ones. And nah, Warcraft 1 Blackhand was bald, had no beard and wore a silly antler-helmet.

He wasn't bald, Orgrim held his severed head by the hair in one art.

Anyway, I don't his apperance is really an issue. The comic was his origin story, when he earned his name, he could have grown hair and beard in the years after that.

This map is really awesome to look at. It really shows the sheer scope of how big Lordaeron once was compared to literally everyone else, and it also shows that not every single bit of land was settled on the EK, at least as far as it is in modern day.

• Medivh discovers what Khadgar and Garona know, they flee to Stormwind
• They meet Llane, Gul’dan seeing through Garona tries to have her kill him
• Garona resists the urge, not knowing it was coming from Gul’dan
• Llane did not believe that Medivh was evil, but Lothar trusted Khadgar
• Gavinred put in charge of Stormwind defense, Lothar, Khadgar, Garona leave
• Gul’dan panicked, had not yet discovered Tomb of Sargeras from Medivh
• Lothar and group arrive at Karazhan, Gul’dan reached out to Medivh’s mind

• Genn Greymane (Gilneas), Daelin Proudmoore (Kul Tiras), Antonidas (Dalaran)
• Thoras Trollbane (Stromgarde), Aiden Perenolde (Alterac)
• Proudmoore, Antonidas, and Trollbane agreed to create an alliance
• Greymane and Perenolde more difficult to convince due to Deathwing’s rumors
• Ultimately became Council of Seven Nations, Horde began preparing for war

So yeah, pretty much nearly done. At the part where Gorefiend and the Horde go look for artifacts to take back to Draenor.

There's considerably less artwork in this volume, and a lot of the time it feels like they make artwork about relatively pointless moments.
Two pieces of artwork also just feel out of place. Them being the one with Maraad's sister (done by another artist) and one where Khadgar witnesses Karazhan's illusions.

As for the lore they decided to keep in, I'm mostly pleased. I especially like how the gave Blackhand more power and stature, he isn't just Gul'dan's puppet.
Also, Gul'dan's betrayal of the Horde is actually him going against Kil'jaeden's second offer for power, seeing as he ordered Gul'dan to remain true to the Horde.
It is also confirmed that Kil'jaeden does everything according to Sargeras' design. He doesn't act independently.

Also, the reason the Horde gained a secret base in Blackrock Mountain is because the Old Gods told Ragnaros and the Dark Irons to allow them in. The Old Gods revel in the Horde's destructive powers, even though they despise the pawns of the Legion.

It is impressive to see how big is the island of Quel'danas there are human kingdoms smaller than that island. I also see that a small part in the north of EastPlague lands was part of Quelthalas

Partially. Deathwing acted mostly out of interest for his flight, whereas the Old Gods saw the Horde's destruction as a guilty pleasure.

Also, Gul'dan creates the Stormreaver clan, which Orgrim allows. They both knew no orc from other clans would follow Gul'dan after his machinations became public knowledge. Or atleast so Orgrim thought. Gul'dan manipulated anyone he could as usual.
