6 110 all of them 35+ all specs main is 54 on tank weapon all raids cleard om hc in pugs. I play 2 hours per day max do 1-3 m+ per week doing a 15. Been 54 on main for a month not even trying.

  3. #23
That's weird, I'm 6/10M and I don't grind m+ for 5 hours every day. Takes me about an hour every week to knock my 15 out though.

Although I will admit that up until a couple months ago I was grinding m+s for hours on end most days, but I chose to do that. The same way I chose to be in a guild that had that expectation for their raiders. If I didn't want to do it I sure as shit didn't have to.

It's only as much of a job/work as you choose to make it. If you guild has requirements that are too much for you, find another guild. I haven't farmed Mythic+ at all this expansion. Sure I'm not clearing Mythic raids in the first few weeks of release either, but that's because I made the choice to limit how much grinding I want to put in. My current guild is just started Mythic NH last week, which is fine since we are unlikely to see ToS for at least a month or more.

More like you only did 35 of which 3/4 was spamming Maw +2. On top of that you did dungeons every day and every Ap WQ.

Truth hurts, even the guy above you is ashamed of it..

If you weren't such an obvious troll, I'd confound you by saying I'm 4 bosses into Heroic NH with my guild and we only raid two evenings a week.
If only I could be so grossly incandescent.

The fun part is, that I'm a pvper and play pretty casual - and I'm at 54 traits. Most of my AP is from pvp, some from WQ and almost none from M+ as I do only a very little pve group content.
I can imagine the road to 54 being long if you don't enjoy the ride, but tbh then people should just pick a different road or get off.
If you don't enjoy the game and can't find a solution you should unsub. Simple as that.

Unless you are in a very hardcore guild, you don't need to do that. You probably shouldn't be doing that. Unless you want to, of course.

Also, did you raid in vanilla? Now there is a job.

It actually is. It's a video game. Nobody force you to play, nobody force you to join guild X or guild Y, nobody pays for your sub (or maybe mom). It's your fucking choice ! Now assume your choices, instead of whinnning about how this video game force you to do things you don't want to do...

Nobody who raids mythic wants to have to go back and clear last tier's content because they sucked
Maybe that's the core issue then ? Maybe instead of grinding mindlessly (and I dunno what, since everyone is 54 nowadays) what about improving your gameplay ? Why not trying to improve your rotation, movement, raid awarness instead of hoping the next 0,5% wellfare buff will make you kill things you don't have the skill to kill ?

Guild killed it, with less attempt and less ilvl than you. It's not a problem of grind, it's a problem of you not being good enough and expecting to be carried by gear. Fact.

I raid two nights a week. I don't grind. I do my emissaries and a bit of m+ when guildies feel like. I don't log in every night. Nighthold is pretty damn good.

    It's fun.

You should probably re-evaluate your approach to the game / life.

well i didnt get my achi in December as you pointed out, nor did i get it within the itme frame, was damn near close.

unsure how you could exploit it as those guys were banned and rerolled.

    but on Topic.

wow isnt a full time job. play it how you want how you like.

It doesn't have to be. I raid 11 hours a week and our guild's currently 5/10M... considering we don't do split runs or require alts I'd say we've been doing pretty well. We're a mixed bag cause we have players who do grind nonstop because they've got the free time to do it, while others of us can't spend much time online due to working a lot. Most of us have 54 traits though. Some of our players do maintain alts and have re-rolled for NH (e.g. tanks going Druid) but it's not a requirement, we're just lucky to have players who will do that willingly and who can afford to put the extra time in to grind AP etc for those new characters.

Unless you want to be in a top 100 or even a top 200 guild you can raid without treating it like a full time job. I prefer things being a bit more chill so I don't mind what our world rank is, I think our main goal is just clearing content while it's current as much as possible and if we do well and jump up a few ranks, then that's awesome.

Just gotta find the right guild that will satisfy your need to raid/progress at a reasonable pace but not demand you play WoW 50 hours a week, haha.

    Good question.

Hardcore raiders have no place In Legion, all you seem to be doing Is running Maw of Souls for Artifact power and other mythics, world quests and heroic dungeons for gear/more artifact power until you're at a high enough power level and that would take a good while.

It's more grinding upon grinding and I've never seen this amount of grinding for a raider.
Permabanned on WoW since April 14th 2015, main acc I had since vanilla gone and trashed for no good reason, 6+ years later still banned with more appeals resulting in my BATTLENET games being suspended for a month eachtime I try making TICKETS because I'm asking for help with the perma ban. Blizzard has stopped caring for their first veteran players and would rather we leave, considering the Lawsuit, can you afford to keep peps banned even for so long under questionable circumstances?

I did more dungeons in Legion that in any previous expansion. By the time it is over, I'll do more than all of them combined.

I guess you can consider this "doing a lot of content", but the 'glass half empty' version is "it's all the same stuff, repeated over and over again." There's a lot of time I have to put in order to be raid ready, doing repetitive dailies for chance at legendaries, farming AP and then five mans. And all of that just to max out a single specialization. Capping all three... nope. Used to be possible to respec and only be limited by gear - now it's gear, legendaries *and* artifact power. You either grind a lot more or are limited in your options - and even doing the former doesn't mean you'll avoid the latter. Legiondaries can and will screw you over.

And even ignoring "hardcore raiders", it's probably just as bad for completionists. Hell, in 7.2, you won't be able to finish even a single weapon, without an absurb amount of farming.

I am 7/7 M, 3/3 HC and 10/10 HC, with all this on a weekly farm (won't bother with ToV/NH Mythic) and it's not a time consuming "job". I have my highest weapon at 45, 900 item level equipped and I have done like five Mythic+ dungeons EVER. However, if I wanted NH Mythic I prolly need a higher weapon.

Still, you can raid at a fairly okey level without spending much time in game. I play one hour per day on average and like 2-3 on NH HC raid day.

HOWEVER, if you want to do everything Legion has to offer, like achievements, PvP, WQs etc etc, then it can be a full time job because Legion is a never ending grind with too much stuff to do outside of raids.

no offence, but if your only 1/10M in NH at this point your not really raiding are you? i mean the first three bosses are basically free kills.

Also, requiring 54 traits isn't absurd. every boss passed trilliax is balanced around the raid being at 54 traits. thats blizzards expectations not his raid leads.

I would disagree... I log on for maybe 2 hours a day out of raiding and that's to do my dailies, farm herbs and the occasional mythic plus to push my 15. I am only 51 on my artefact but still 4/10 mythic.

Pretty much the same, I've rerolled twice since launch, both after investing a month or two time into them to gear them.

I'm now on my 46th trait on the 3rd character (no the other two aren't 54, hence re rolled) who I made in January, I raid normal and heroic NH on her 3 times a week, for 3 hours each night. Its not a job, I have my flask and good ready and just log in to go.
