Real Legendary drop rates and other statistics for 9785 chars [Spreadsheet]

2 weeks since hitting 110 on DK alt, emissary every day, done the raids, tanking 2-4 heroics daily, 0 legendary drops.

According to the KP thingy i am almost done on the 2nd one, .

Just got my 6th. 753 points since #5.

I'm 800+ KP earned since I got my 5th
(3900 -> 4700)

But I feel like I may be "abusing KP" by doing all LFRs (including EN and TOV) which may not translate very correctly into the KP count...

What's your usual week look like?
I do all emissaries, all LFR, all Normal, all Heroic (EN/ToV/NH) and 3 mythic raid bosses from nighthold, a handful of regular mythic instances and maybe ~10-15 M+ nowadays

I do exactly the same. Just 5 mythic NH instead of 3 and all EN Mythic too.

700kp since first legendary drop and still nothing :/ Might be very bad luck, but also could it be that there are some diminishing returns? I dropped my first one 5 days ago. Doing 130 mythic+ and all content didn't help somehow. Also I didn't even start to train my second legendary skill in the class hall

Most people won't get more than 200 KP/week. Well we don't know exactly how much mythic+ increases the BLP, also it's possible that the KP from mythic+ is overvalued. But even if the numbers are correct and let's say the avg is between 400-600, it still gives approx. 10-40% probability of Not getting the 2nd legendary within those 700 KP.

The DeathKnight has 24 legendaries, if you got 1 legendary a month, it would take 2 years to get them all. That seems like a vastly better system than what we have.

Well I am going on 3 weeks of full clear NH normal/heroic/lfr along with EN normal/heroic/lfr, kara, approx 150 m+ dungeons and dailies every day. I currently have 7 waiting to get my 8th. Any day now. I figure I have 1 in 3 chance of next one being my BiS.

Also I suspect m+ does not have that high of impact on legendary drop chance. I have 2 friends both that have 5 with 50-70m+ total dungeons ran and about the same amount of raid clears with only 2 less drops. So approx 900 more m+ dungeons have got me 2 more legendaries than they have. Not exactly profiting here.

I agree with you on the M+

I think the KP is closer to 2 than it is to 4. It might have gotten nerfed and the data just hasn't caught up yet, because blizzard made a comment about people getting to 4 faster than they thought they would based on running M+ for AP. I bet they nerfed the KP for that to slow people down.

That said, running every LFR/N/H every week nets a decent amount of KP, and if you just supplement that with a few M+ it seems to average about 1 legendary per month (assuming you don't get lucky before then).

The droprate used to be far less, like literally worse than 1 in 1000 mythic+ dungeons if you had a lot of legendaries; the "old" work that you put into that system was basically lost/reset. You can't judge people based on the amount of content that they've done in total any more because you don't know exactly when they did it, what the droprates were at that time etc.

This also happened with fewer legendaries as many of us spent a lot of hours and content for legendary #1 and #2 and now they drop almost for free by comparison

Well yeah since patch its been about 1 legendary a month, just got 6th. I have not missed any caches since start and clearing all raids except mythic. Only doing 1 or 2 mythic+ a week.

Got my 7nd legendary on my main 2 days ago. The time between 4th, 5th, 6th and 7nd was always around 5 weeks.

I run complete normal and heroic raids of the current raid tier and around 5-10 M+ (M10-17) each week. No LFR raids and no EN/TOV since NH release. But I do every emmisary chest every day.

Maybe I'm lucky but the drop rate is very consistent at 5 weeks for my last 4 legendaries. My Twink is not running heroic raids (only normal clears of the current tier) but everything else is the same and he has one legendary every 7 weeks for his 4th and 5th legendary drop.

I think the emmisary chests have an much higher impact. Some of my friends doing no emmisary quests at all and have only 3-4 legendaries. Other friends do the same things as my main and they are also at 5-7 drops.
