Its not a bad idea on its own. As long as you recognize that some cultures are dangerous and shouldn't be accepted as normal. Also the culture of your own people is just as relevant as any other culture.

In the west it seems like there are many who think western culture is just the worst thing ever and more primitive cultures are better for the people to adhere to. This is why movies like Avatar and Dances with Wolves are so well received.

It's not that it's an undercut. It's the near-skinhead closeness of the side cut and the heavily-controlled slick top. I've been wearing an undercut for a couple years now, but mine's messy as hell; you probably can't even tell it's an undercut most days because I don't use product, usually, so it just hangs over the sides. My hair gets bushy and uncontrollable on the sides when it grows out, so for me, it's just about avoiding that.
