This what you get for "only 910++ NO NOOBS FAST RUN" groups. Look up WoWporgress and not the ilvl, i would take a 880ilvl with multi Mythic raiding exp on hes 5th Alt over a HC raiding hero with 910ilvl.

Anecdotal I know, but I've only experienced this once or twice since legion launched and people will just have to bite the bullet as a doubt blizzard will do anything about it. Ultimately, this is a risk you'll have to take when forming PUGs. Some sort of punishment system should exist however whereby people who accumulate "leaves" should face a ban ranging from a period of an hour to a few days depending on the total number of leaves.

The game can't tell if you leave for being a douchebag or if you leave cause there was an actual emergency IRL.

If you got punished for helping your friend and preventing him from choking, saving his life (extreme situation but still), Blizzard would not be very popular.

Only way to punish this would be to manually check logs and what was written etc. This would take too much resources and not be worth it. Besides it would come down to judging who was a douche or not, and that can be hard too.

It's a good system. If you don't want leavers make better groups.

My suggestion to blizz, add a "abandon dungeon" option with a window asking the players if they wish to continue dungeon or not, if 3 or more players vote no group is disbanded and run is over, if 3 or more players vote yes the guy(s) who leave get a 24 hours account wide deserter debuff preventing them from using group finder tool.

I don't know why at a minimum there's not a 30 minute deserter debuff.

This proposed "solution" would affect almost exclusively legit players who want to reset the run for progression purposes.
A malicious player can leave just the same.


More importantly: automatic punishments only make sense in automatically created groups. You can not queue for a mythic+ dungeon. You manually invited this depleter into your group.

i dont really have a commited m+ group, but honestly I have never even bothered to do my key. i would just pop into group finder and join any of the many random +15s

Ppl that join a group and then leaves without any kind of reason should have Dersert Debuff too. Got screwd sometimes because the leavers makes the others leave too, and makes u take a lot of time forming a group.

And even without friends it's not that hard to select decent players to play with. Just don't jump on the 4 first guys poping in your queue.

Instead, your keystone just won't advance on that attempt.

Reading the second sentence was too much ? And you are free to make more than 4 friends. I have a guild with people in it. And I also a bnet list full of contact I just made running MM+. When you encounter a good tank/healer/DPS just ask their bnet. Sometime they'll say yes, sometime they'll say no. But your list of competent people will just grow. And no need to become BFF with them, just /w "Hello, are you in for a XXX +15 ?", again you may delete people always say no (not because they are mean, some people avoid conflict they gave you their bnet but just don't really want to play withou you again). And voila, you are a player with decent contacts. Much social skill needed, or not.

And to answer yourself, something really arcane like armory and wowprogress. According to wowprogress I did over 300 Mythic+ Strangely enough I never encountered a key depleter. I'm either a genius or people in this thread are really stupid. Whatever you prefer, I don't care.

Exactly. I don't understand the depletion mechanic, just have a key over the timer stay at the initial level so the keyholder can restart the run without adverse impact.

And the guy should be happy that i only leave, and not flame him and make the other guys in the group realize what a douchebag they will be carrying. (probably if people see a 900 + high xp equipped tank with several m15+ items eqiped insta leave on invite, they start to get suspicious and check the guys gear)
