Forum for democracy got 2 seats from pvv (basically the same party points) and the turkish matter was handled well by the direct political opponent of the pvv , the current ruling party VVD.

Anyone attributing a pro europe result from this is looking for the result they want to see. It is once more all too apperant that voters have a short memory, which is too bad. VVD will do fine though, go go us!

Yea like I said, Sanoma owns more than just nu.nl. And that is a good thing.

Next stop is Turkey's referendum in April. Oh, Merkel and friends would laugh their asses off if Erdogan fails.
They won't fail, the coalition will be formed within a week. Nobody wants Wilders so Wilders is NEVER going to be in charge.

Thank god Belgium and the Netherlands have proper political systems where an idiot like Wilders will never get anywhere.

Eh considering both GL and D66 are pro EU. This is a win for the EU. Seeing as both parties are big winners.

7 out of 388 counted so yeah calling it a win for the VVD is just stupid look at what happened in the US last year, Hillary is the winner and a few hours later a turnip is in the White House instead and prior to that in the UK all the polls said that the UK wouldn't leave the EU and a few hours later they did.
Never count your favourite the winner unless the all the votes are counted no matter how much you want to.

The VVD might still be a big party and even be able to form a coalition but even they are being punished just not nearly as bad as the PvdA.
Also note that the viable coalition people are talking off are on opposite sides on a lot of the major issues they will either fold within 2 years or get nothing done till the next election.
So I'll wait and see what we are going to have to deal with when I wake up tmrw when the final count is in.

Just Suomi-Hollanti-yhteistyö. The Netherlands is a very important trade partner for Finland. I think it's the 4th largest trade partner after Sweden, Russia and Germany.

Pvv with their leader Wilders will have no place or space in the coalition it will be left at the side as per usual. Highly doubtfull we will get another election.
I'm hoping for VVD, D66, GL & SP. It would be a very well balanced coalition.

Most likely going to be that coalition. I mean definitely the 4 biggest ones :P

Exit polls are only slightly different from the actual result because they ask thousands of people what they just voted for the moment they walk out of the voting booth.

And VVD/D66/CDA/CU is a likely coalition.
Not the CU, they are really against the whole "die on your own terms" thing that the VVD is wanting iirc.

This looks to be a likely coalition. GL and VVD is a bit a of a problem. GL just won in Amsterdam btw.

Exit polls showed that Trump was the winner by a small margin, that's exactly what happened.

I think that is more an issue for D66. They are the progressive party. VVD might also be in favor of it though, not certain. However, with four parties it is almost impossible to agree on all issues though.

Well balanced never happens, cause those parties are often at opposite ends of issues. Especially VVD (most right leaning central party) and the Socialist Party (SP, probably the most leftwing party that's not a niche party) are often completely at odd where it comes to social and economic policy. They'd never be able to agree to enough things to get a working partnership.

The most likely outcome is a central/rightwing coalition of VVD/CDA/D66/CU. They'd be able to get shit done cause they mostly agree on things.

This is not how it works. The exit polls are based on 40 municipalities that are a representation of the entire country. They are fairly accurate.

Im not sure if it was VVD, but i thought it was. D66 will be for something like this anyway, but i think i member this being a VVD thing as well. Anyhow, i really hope its not CU, please let it not be CU..

I personally much prefer PvdA over CU, or GL (though that will be hard).
