Calling out all the bullshit and politics of the industry seems to be a running theme for Just Music artists (swings, cjamm, black nut in particular).

I try not to dig too deep because I know from my brother (who lives and works in Itaewon) that it's a hopeless struggle not to love Kpop.

I'm not at all into the boy groups so far, though I do like the more rap oriented solo artists/bands. Most Asian languages lend themselves tremendously well to rap. Currently listening to a bit of N.Flying, because J.Don is pretty great imo, he makes me think of Iron in a way.
Epik High is also great.

Guess I'll be the first to make my year end lists - and therefore also the one who gets to necro the AMCT. Yay me.

This has definitely been an odd year for kpop. On one hand, I've gotten a couple of new favourite groups, and especially girl groups have been pretty strong. On the other hand, a lot of groups have disbanded. Also namely girl groups.

Oh well, standard rules apply, one song per group. This year to prevent an excess of EXID songs, as they would probably be my group of the year. I personally didn't see it coming, but they've been super solid ever since Hot Pink, and they're now one of my favourite groups.
