Those of us who actually played vanilla wow should also remember how broken and badly designed it was in the first year! Maybe they have had time to learn from past mistakes ? Time never stopped vanilla devs repeating the same mistake with Wildstar, broken and badly designed in it's first year....maybe it's the only way they know

Not really an excuse for Wildstar to be broken in it's first year since it was a more modernly designed MMO but alas that's for the Megathread.

so it's an mmo where I will be constantly creating a new character or everyone on the server will be the same faction so that you don't keep dying over and over?
I don't see this game ever working out. First it's pretty much a giant pvp mmo with virtually no pve outside resource gathering. If it takes any time at all (>2 hours) to level to max only the most dedicated players will still be playing after a month as all casuals will be so far behind there won't be a point of trying. Second can we resurrect or is this a yolo thing? I just don't see a fun version of this game for the masses. And it's the masses that pays for the games. Even wow had to dumb down and become casual friendly to survive.

How many "Vanilla WoW devs" are there, anyway? Seems like any guy who once emptied a dust bin at Blizzard HQ in 2001-2004 is a former Vanilla dev.
It's a pointless credential anyway. What have these people done since then? Not to mention that if 100% of the original staff made a game today, it would turn out to be massively different from Vanilla WoW. Time marches on ...
