You get 4 times as much ap with ak26. The patch is probably coming on april 4th, so if you want to wait 3 weeks it will be worth around 15 million ap more.

With how high the paragon traits will go, it's going to be well worth the wait for max AK!

Final reward (valewalker blessing), will grant 2500 base AP, which will translate to 1.375.000.000 = instant rank 50 weapon at AK50.

Above that however it increases like crazy so it will feel like nothing depending on when you do it :P

The patch will most definitely be out within the next two to three weeks at most. Most people are thinking it needs to be not released because of the raid, which that won't be out for a few months so they can release the patch and continue tweaking it later. Season 3 of PvP starts in the next couple weeks (twitter keeps changing dates) and Season 3 can't start without the art assets for the armor which are in the 7.2 patch (7.1.5 didn't contain them and Season 2 art assets are the same as Season 1).
