I don't understand how people can dislike pineapple on their pizzas. It's juicy and delicious and belongs on there with ham or sausage.

The internet is overloaded with food-adverse folks who haven't fully explored sweet, salty, savory, spicy, sour in their food repertoire. (add temperature, texture, appearance.).

In real life, pineapple with ham is a thing. You get sweet, savory, salty, and sour right there. Adding a crust and some cheese isn't a stretch.

Inclined to agree. Pork goes great with fruit, think fruit chutneys. Hell, most higher end restaurants I've been to serve spiced applesauce with pork roasts/chops.

I like eating pineapple as a fruit. I dislike it for everything else - cooking (think Chinese meals), fragrances, pizza ... just gross I dunno why.

It does. Plum stuffed pork/meat is a classic, so is cheese and grapes. feta cheese salad with walnuts and a tad of liquid honey sprinkeled on top. Yummy.

Ketchup to me is more acidic than sweet to me, but it's the only 'sweet' thing that touches meat

I'm the same way. I have another rule though. Ketchup and cheese do not mix. I will have either ketchup or cheese on a burger, not both.

Cheese is fine with other types of tomato sauce - pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce, etc. Just not ketchup.
