Do you see yourself playing 1 year from now?

No whining, just discussing. I'm in this weird situation where I keep my account active just to clear out the latest raid on heroic every lockout. I've been maintaining this formula ever since WoD. It's the only feature in the game that I enjoy. So yes, I see myself staying subbed.

Been playing since late vanilla dont see myself stopping anytime soon lol but my playstyle will adapt, like I could see myself downgrading from heroic mode to normal next expansion

  3. #3
Probably. I come in, play a bit, then unsub.

Yes, whilst WoW is the best there is available - I'll be playing it.

Indeed - the top three answers should have been enough, but the last two answers show a strong bias from the OP.

---> If the game keeps progressing in its current direction then no.
---> They'd have to make some drastic changes to keep me around.

Challenge Mode : Play WoW like my disability has me play:
You will need two people, Brian MUST use the mouse for movement/looking and John MUST use the keyboard for casting, attacking, healing etc.
Briand and John share the same goal, same intentions - but they can't talk to each other, however they can react to each other's in game activities.
Now see how far Brian and John get in WoW.

Probably still playing then since I feel invested into Legion, but i can't go through the rng frustrations for another expansion. Legion makes for a good finale and a good retirement expansion.

Considering Legion so far is on of the best expansions this game ever had, yes I will. I have lost hope for this game shortly after all WoD came out, but Legion made me regain it.

IF content release keeps its current pace, most likely. But it's difficult to say really.

Depends when Quake Champions comes out, and if it's as good as I hope it will be

I enjoy my time with it and keep coming back to it after 11 years of playing. I do hope I'll still be playing it in a year as it's my all-time favorite game.

  10. #10
    Most likely, yes.

Only reason I can see myself not playing WoW would be if we've entered one of the classic end of expansion waits and we haven't had a new patch for half a year.

But I'll be optimistic and say we won't be at that point on March 2018. :P

If he had any negative biases, putting in multiple negative responses is the worst way to tilt a poll in his favor as it just makes the Yes column look much greater than any of the No.

  12. #12
Yes, and further unto that til the servers shut down.

  13. #13
Sadly, yes, but the Future is mysterious, and something might intervene.

It depends, I'm enjoying raiding but at the same time I'm getting bored with the game. Not saying it's bad just that i want something new from gaming in general. Really starting to enjoy FPS games again. It gives me a sense of progression that wow doesn't give me anymore, the spark that just pushes you to become better and better. I'm just "stuck" in the same place in wow.

It really depends, I was unsubbed before Legion's launch. The reason might be silly to others but the Lore, and especially how Horde was treated made me so disconnected from the game that I really can't bother to deal with it anymore. Ofc that doesn't mean I hate WoW now, in fact I am considering moving to some old private server, where the story was tolerable.

While WoW is MMO it's still RPG game, and when RPG element is ruined then it's hard for me to treat the game seriously. If I'd like to pew pew stuff and watch the numbers I'd pick another game that isn't that much time consuming.

I am still very nostalgic about WoW I really like the universe and all but many times I felt that I care more about the game than developers - I know it sounds dramatic but I was often giving feedback to Blizzard, constructive mind you, and not one thing was adressed. Somtimes there were small issues like NPC names, sometimes the bigger ones like this thread : http://www.mmo-champion.com/threads/...-models-in-6-2 .

The Broken Shore scenario was the breaking point for me. And it still leave unpleasant feeling in my stomach when I think about it. It's very funny, I was fan of many franchises but I was never so offended by how the storywas handled, aka bullshit writing. Sure, I was upset but moved on, becuase no matter the new stuff, I can still return to old things as they didn't disappear. Like Nobody is forcing me to play nw Heroes of Might and MAgic, I still have access to gold older games.

WoW is changing in a way that you can't get back, unless you go for private server, secondly after many years of playing you get yourself invested in all of this.
So I am one of those players who quit but never wanted to quit, Blizzard's half-arsed writing made me do it.

    I miss Mists of Pandaria

Definitely. In the past I used to take breaks from my WoW sub, but since it has been free to play, instead of taking breaks I've just had periods of playing more and playing less. Can't see myself stopping playing entirely any time soon, certainly not in the next year.

I like the content but I dislike the features. I've already quit this expansion but am considering coming back next expansion if things change.
    Hi Sephurik

Right. But my point was... if he created a poll and the message he wanted to put out was that people were unhappy with the game, it's better going the route of including many "yes" options and one "No" option so that the No looks like it far outweighs any Yes's. It creates a divide between those who vote Yes and makes them look weaker. Look above and combine all the No options. It doesn't look as flimsy as it does when they aren't combined, no?

I'm just hoping the next raids (Tomb and whatever's after) learns how to balance Melee and Ranged better. I love ranged, but want to top charts and that's much harder to do when not playing a melee spec. Mechanics are easier but I want those nice pretty log numbers too

If we have another Nighthold meta then I'm just going to do it all on normal and stop caring about endgame.
