Too bad for his relatives, but he was fucking dumb as shit...

How do you make it to 32 and not know that water + electricity don't mix?

Also, as much as I detest Apple, them being sent "safety recommendations" by the cornener is plain stupid.

Technically speaking it wasn't the 5v from the iPhone charger that killed him, it was the 240v from the extension strip.

I think the point is people don't think a phone has enough power to cause death and thus forget about the risk
A phone doesn't have enough power to kill you. What killed him was the charging cable.

It wouldn't because codes in the UK are just as good, he ran an extension lead from another room because we don't even allow bathroom outlets over here and all our sockets are on RCD circuits.

Would've been a non issue in germany since our fuses and breakers actually work. In the UK they don't have centralized breakers and fuses but ha e them build-in in their power cords. That those are pure garbage and obviously unreliable most of the time doesn't matter it seems.

The 1920's called, they say your post is no longer correct ^^

Seriously though, the dude dropped a mains voltage appliance into a bathtub he was lying in. His fate was sealed before the breakers popped and it would have been the same in any first world country.

One less millennial to worry about
All right, gentleperchildren, let's review. The year is 2024 - that's two-zero-two-four, as in the 21st Century's perfect vision - and I am sorry to say the world has become a pussy-whipped, Brady Bunch version of itself, run by a bunch of still-masked clots ridden infertile senile sissies who want the Last Ukrainian to die so they can get on with the War on China, with some middle-eastern genocide on the side

"A coroner ruled his death was accidental and plans to send a report to Apple about taking action to prevent future deaths."

As much as I dislike Apple, short of them making a completely idiot and Water proof charger system, why is it their responsibility to stop idiots from being idiots.

Goddamn this World and people being unable to be responsible for their own fuck ups.

The funny thing is it wouldn't matter if they did, it wasn't the iPhone charger that killed him it was the power strip it was plugged into.

Apple should change the laws of nature and make water a bad conduct of electricity

No, they can implement IQ tests on each purchase and sell no more than one iPhone per person to avoid bulk purchases for future distribution among low IQ people.

Sadly that will kill Apple, so they will never do it.

Actually, 5V can kill you if you try hard enough. Check this Darwin award:
    http://www.darwinawards.com/darwin/darwin1999-50.html

The only reason 240V is dangerous and 5V isn't is skin resistance.

    Why?

At no point does the water come anywhere near the electricity. Those unit are basically just water heaters with a high duty rate.

The reason they are mandatory in rented accommodation is so the tenant can still shower if the boiler breaks.

    Until it does.

Seriously do they not have them in your country? get with the times dude :P
We don't need those as we can actually build water systems that aren't from the 19th century and we have learned to use this marvelous technology the Brits haven't yet embraced:

No need to have a god damn electrical water mixer in the god damn shower.
