    Was MOP peak wow?

Great class design (better than anything legion)

    Meaningful gear progression

    3 good tiers

    Challenge Modes

    PvP WAS ACTUALLY PLAYABLE

TI and Landfall and IoT all great patches

Was MoP the best it will ever get? Why were classes so drastically changed when they were so much better?

To each their own but i enjoyed wotlk, cata, tbc and legion more then mop so in my case it wasn't but i guess for some people it was.

tbh any last-patch was great. WoD not so much for it's cut on a tier but... MoP with flex was really awesome, and tbh the LFR&flex "wings" were also what made openraid and any serious pug shine most. 1-2 wing for legendary quest, 3-4 for gear upgrades... all within a certain time frame.

    Gameplay wise likely yes.
    Wasn't excited about the theme.

    .... MoP?
I guess a matter of opinions but yeah it really didn't feel like Wow at all to me. I personally found the story extremely immature and not only because that ridiculous addition of the pandas and their nomnom language, but in general the overwhelming Mary sue characteristic of these fat obnoxious know it all, telling our leaders and me to make love not war.
The story couldn't stand up. It felt completely alien. Way more alien than any other expansion, even the ones that actually included literally ALIENS as in extraterrestrial (extraazerothian?) creatures. We get to see the zandalari, the original troll tribe, as common villains? And that was a wasted opportunity.
To cap it up, as an avid horde lover since warcraft 1, having my own capital ravaged by filthy ally scum, and a potentially interesting REAL horde warlord turned into a 2 bits evil cunt really nailed it for me. It doesn't make sense. Horde and alliance struggled for decades, the Alliance finds itself INSIDE THE horde capital against a MUCH weaker horde and.... they let it go?
Yeah no that's not the warcraft I remember.
Didn't like the themes, didn't like the way they were handled, didn't like the characters added, didn't like the zones, didn't like the factions.
Pretty much everything outside the gameplay I didn't enjoy, and the fact that I was already half way out and very casual at the time meant I didn't get to experience much of the gameplay. I unsubbed in mop and came back last patch before just before wod.
    Again, matter of opinions so.

TBC/WotLK... the game at it's greatest. WoD and Legion... at it's worst.

Wrath was peak WoW for me. None of the expacs since then have lived up to it.

Yeah I wonder why. It is almost like whatever is good is purely subjective. But that can't be it right?

MoP was very underrated by a lot of panda goggles, people just wanted more legion and demons etc, but the content was very good, then we got WoD where they forgot to put content in the game, so you sit in garrison farming gold.

everyone their own opinion. Personally I liked wotlk the best, with cata a close second. MoP was a huge turnoff for me and made me quit wow for a long time. Skipped WoD and came back with Legion, which has its own pro's and cons.

You just can't make everyone happy at the same time.

I enjoyed WOltK but I am actually enjoying Legion more ...

It really is to each their own. I felt MoP has had the second best story, finishing behind Wrath. I like how they integrated the Pandarian into the game, as I wasn't a fan in Frozen Throne, but felt their story was believable in MoP.

As an overall game, I put Legion ahead of MoP, and only behind Wrath.

    Just such a subjective topic.

Outside the classic edgy teen "herpd derp kunfuu pandaz" MoP was really liked. And to me a excellent expansion.

Dont know if it was peak but clearly one of its best. That said I love legion. I can self control myself to not stupidly hop on the first grind train avalaible and still enjoying a LOT of the expansion. I also understand diminishing return, what most of the playerbase is too dumb to understand.

It was decent enough but not a patch on tbc or wrath.

5 mans I highly prefered Vanilla, TBC heroics and Early Cata heroics.

Raids, I loved Blackwing Lair, Naxx 40, Tier 5 and 6, Blackwing Descent and Twilight Bastion far more then MoP raids.

(keep in mind I only did about 4 weeks of throne of thunder, I quit due to real life at the time, ended up a 3+ year break)

After Cata LFR and the boring end-time dungeons, and dragonsoul (minus deathwing boss fights) it went downhill overall, even while MoP questing was interesting the 1st time around, too bad jade forest it pretty much enough to go from 85-90 now so you don't get to see the other zones proper

Current raid difficulty scheme is far worse then any pre-6.0 model.

Yes 4x Trial of the crusade was bad but still think currently the community is far more divided, and the fact heroic gear can titanforge into mythic gear is a bit silly, mythic raid gear should be a bit above everything but legendaries for the current tiers.

For me it was wrath. Due to the people io played with.

Sub numbers where at the highest end of wrath start of cataclysm, with 12 mill subs. Thats your peak.
