It's really saddening though. The Legion is my favorite lore in WoW and what they did with quests and lore this expansion (from what I saw) was amazing. If this expansion didn't have the artifact knowledge/legendary system it would have been hands down the best expansion of the game. The expansion of what could have been.

By gated do you mean you need to work for it? Just because things are "gated" doesn't mean they're not content. You're also trivializing an ENTIRE NEW ZONE.. It's a pretty huge zone and it provides some solid content. You're also forgetting about the new 5 man instance that is coming out, zones being assaulted, class/legendary changes and a bunch of other stuff. Christ, there's a pet battle scenario!

It honestly sounds like you're bored af with the game and you're just looking for shit to nitpick. There's PLENTY of awesome content coming with 7.2, you just have an extremely pessimistic attitude towards the game as you obviously don't enjoy it anymore.

No, by gated I mean gated. As in time gated = few quests for 30mins then nothing for the rest of the month.

Can you read? I said "basically their way to say don't farm 24/7 cuz its actually impossible to get(as in trait 101) before wow dies at AK 50. IE: you can't farm from current traits to 101 if you were at AK 50 before wow dies because it takes something like 13k days. Wow would def be dead by then.

People are literally in a panic because there is an arbitrary amount of power that they're never intended to reach and they can't deal with the fact that there's a number that exists that they can't hit, even though there's no need to hit it and they can never realistically hit it.

Some people don't see the full picture, yes it allows you to increase your character's power pretty much indefinately, but because of very high diminishing returns, it is much better system than it was before, because the gain from crazy farming is MUCH smaller than it was before.

And in reality, a person who will try to spend all their free hours into gaining more AP are actually making their character WEAKER. That's because they could have spend the same time in studying the tactics, trying more pulls, and having a proper rest periods, which is in the end more important than having that 0.5% better gear and burning out themself. Just like in any real sport, overtraining is never a good thing.

That reminds me of the epic drama on Rift couple years ago when they released a new way to get gear via some sort of currency you'd get simply playing the game. The people were raging hardcore because there wwas a hard weekly cap on it. And they raged for many weeks about it, not knowing exactly how it worked in game.
Patch went live, and bam, everyone got quiet cause almost nobody was even able to get near the cap :')

Let's be real. The average wow player is really stupid, as this thread shows us. They just can't understand basic exponential growth and diminishing returns. And how it actually benefits the game.

So I wonder if ppl cba with 24/7 key boost groups in this new system. What do you think? Even if it only means a few traits ahead of others it's still going to be prestige to have those extra traits. This is the hardcore grindfest nerds wet dream. "lol you only 60 traits i've been 70 for 3 weeks now gtfo my group nuub"
