Looks like the golden age of VPN providers started today in the US. Now it'll be even harded to actually track down malicious users from the overall increase of VPN traffic
I don't like the idea of my ISP making even more money through the sales of my data. I already pay my ISP a lot and there's a reason I allow Facebook and Co. to do their ad magic - because their services are free.
I cannot stop to think that most of these asinine bills in the US (which will probably somehow affect for example the EU directly, or through trendsetting) are a pure offspring of lobbying. Someone is getting paid a lot to pass bills such as these.
Nobody with a Tor browser and VPN on their computer has honest intentions.
Except in this case it was only them.
But feel free to continue to deflect.

Also really patriotic seeing most self-professed conservatives in this thread being ok with this because its their despot whose party pushed it.
I'm with Ethan from h3h3. Let's start a fund and buy the histories of all the people who vote for this and blast it across the internet.
Wait, you pay for HBO, and they STILL run 30 fucking seconds of ads? Glad I don't sub to that. That's fucking retarded. I don't care if they ARE for HBO shows. That's what browsing is for, finding shit you want to watch. Not paying to watch fucking commercials.
I'm going to laugh my ass off when this ends up biting these people in the ass. All the ones who support this, I bet bottom dollar that they will be the first one to have their info sold.

I'm sure Anon is already on it lol
Not that I'm a fan of this mind you, but right now ISPs are pretty much the only ones NOT making money on your data. I mean... we're all (most) using google or something to search the web and targeting you with ads based on your search history and / or selling is IS their business model. People just accept it. I'm not sure that this feels very different that that.
I actually don't mind them. They're ads for their shows, like Young Pope, True Detective, Westworld, Game of Thrones, etc.
It only happens maybe once every 4th or 5th episode, so roughly 4 hours of uninterrupted viewing; plus it shows me some of their other shows I may want to see. It's what caused me to watch those four aforementioned shows

Getting Tails O/S is a good start for those that don't know what to do about this issue

I can't control what they decide to do, only what they're able to see. That's a perfectly viable and reasonable choice to make.
I don't give a shit if they give a shit what I'm doing or reading, it's not their place and the entire surveillance state is far past acceptable in America.
