    How modern is your job?

I'm a gasfitter. I install furnaces/airconditioners..and service them I guess my job is fairly modern.

Then you have jobs like doctors/bakers/tailors/carpenters that have been around forever. Just wondering.

With advances in science those jobs that you listed have changed dramatically as well.
Maybe not as much for bakers and carpenters, but certainly for doctors and tailors.

I help restrain patients in an illegal dental clinic. It's a pretty old profession, maybe 400 years old?

I'm guessing if you were given the choice between a modern doctor and a doctor from 1920 you'd probably pick the modern one.

We all share an ancient hobby at least.

If we count rock-chiseled graffiti, shitposting is thousands of years old!

Male playboy, the oldest profession of them all!

But in honesty - on and off clerk jobs, trying to finish my degree to get some real thing.

Jay is a gasman, I'm surprised and worried at the same time.

The profession of bakers could potentially change fundamentally but for some reason there seems to be only markets for "traditional" food. I want synthetic strudels and artificial apple pie from ingredients never tasted before!

Welder. I would say fairly modern even though the practice dates back centuries. Instead of heating two pieces of metal in a forge and beating them together we use electricity and filler material.

I manage ventilation, heating, regulate that stuff aswell as do minor repairs and handle the general welfare of an estate.

I guess my job is just a bit older than yours, because it's not as specialized.

So Mmo's favourite firestarter works with furnaces all day? I don't see what could go wrong there.
