I used to be apprentice blacksmith. So I quess... pretty old profession. Was taxi driver too which kinda is also really old profession... Moving people around for money. Now I have the oldest of all professions: having no job.
Welder. I would say fairly modern even though the practice dates back centuries. Instead of heating two pieces of metal in a forge and beating them together we use electricity and filler material.
