    But W3 is A LOT newer than brood war, brood war is huge in korea whilst W3 isn't that big tbh, would be nice to get a remaster, but lets be honest, RTS isn't that relevant nowadays, if anything it'll be amazing for the korean scene.

    Brood war fans dont want their game changed AT ALL whatsoever, and i can understand why, the game is balanced in its own mechanical quirks, the compatibility is already a nice improvement, being free to play is a HUGE fucking boost for people who want to have a taste of the balance of this title, one that hasn't required patches to change the meta in any way shape or form, the fact that the metagame developed SO MUCH even after the last balance patch was over is already a crowning achievement, heck, the last few years of it with the shinhan bank proleague sporting the zerg queen vs terran tank was never really played optimally and there it was, a new strategy formed.

    I feel your commetns are more pointing towards your salt on WoW than your care of starcraft.

    A) Mas recall had a ton of visual issues and the 3d models looked really wonky at best.
    B) MR isnt a multiplayer version either, it's just the campaign, most of people who want BW back are the multiplayer loving ones, the ones that care about the UMS and the lobbys that blizzard themselves fucked up on SC2.

    D) If you ever played SC2 you'd realizee the deathball meta is just fucking absurd and rather boring, especially on WoL and HotS for protoss.
    E) Terran mech on SC2 is just blegh, whilst on BW positional awareness and microing is quite a feat, thus creating a higher skill ceiling for players, SC2 simplified a lot of stuff which imo is fine, but that simplification led to issues on the mid-lategame where the game just boils down to mass macro at most times.

    TBH this has nothing to do with the remaster. THis is headed by a 20-person team, none of which are game designers since SC gameplay isn't being rebalanced or touched. You're looking at managers, artists, outsourcers, audio peeps and programmers who are dedicated to optimizing old systems. If you're only concerned about 'money' as resources being taken away from WoW, then that's just plain untrue since every project has a dedicated budget to work from, and they are unaffected by any other project's budget.

    The only way you'd be enlightened is by understanding how any company works, and realizing that resources aren't pooled among all projects. Honestly, the answer is there, whether you accept it or not. Don't just jump to a conclusion that more money and more people = better product.

    Why does SC: RM look like a cell phone game?

    The original Starcraft still looks better than the remastered version.

    It's looks like Blizzard completely redone all the sprites from scratch instead of taking the old sprites and adding more detail to them + updating them to HD.

    Plus, SC: RM looks too cartoony. But too realistic (like Starcraft 2) doesn't look good either.

    I liked how the original Starcraft looks half cartoony and half realistic. But SC: RM looks 100% cartoony.

    And why is Blizzard remastering the sound? They're probably going to make the badass sounding Protoss Zealot sound like a wimp. And they're probably going to make the Terran Ghost not sound cool anymore. If anything, all the units' voices are going to get downgraded. I wouldn't be surprised if Blizzard made the Terran Siege Tank's 120mm Shock Cannon sound like a BB gun.

    If you don't have the hotkeys or the $device folders, just make them and it will work. There are some that are unchanged from what it seems, but overall everything uses QWE, ASD, ZXC layout.

    I got my start in wol so grid was the go to. I've played with the standard layout and it's just too all over the keyboard for me.

    Just did SC1 at a lan party (what the fuck are those? it's 2017) that some friends and I held this weekend.

    I forgot how surprisingly smooth/polished SC1/BW is, for a game released nearly 20 years ago.
