Wow, apparently House/Senate Intelligence Committees and the FBI aren't biting on his offer with immunity.

Wonder if they're hoping they can wait him out and force a deal that will let him plea down any potential charges/sentencing, should he end up admitting guilt of any crimes as part of his testimony. Because them not accepting is pretty unusual as far as I know >.>

As has been pointed out, this is not him being offered immunity, this is him asking for it and being turned down.

Let's see... every person being investigated ASKS for immunity, it isn't just given out like candy, thanks for catching that I used the wrong "their, there, they're" (it happens), and I think Trump is a joke but still voted for him to keep the even worse Hillary Clinton out of the White House.

Mistake of fact is a thing.

Not to mention immunity is granted regularly by the Justice Department in exchange for testimony, as why would anyone voluntarily put themselves at risk (by potentially revealing criminal conduct on their part, or complacency in someone else's criminal conduct) in exchange for nothing? If subpoena'd without immunity, they can just plead the fifth, refuse to answer, claim they don't remember, etc...

Look at the Clinton email scandal... Half a dozen people were granted immunity in exchange for testimony, in the end the Justice Department said she was negligent, but it wasn't a large or intentionally breach and at most would warrant an administrative punishment within the State Department. IE: No criminal wrongdoing.

You are making the exact same flawed argument the Trump faithful were making back during the election... "Well if they are granting immunity then Hillary must be a criminal!"

Honestly I just think the entire government is collectively shitting itself and not wanting the investigation to continue.

Imagine what it means if there was noted Russian involvement in the election, with how close it was it could easily be stated that they decided the election.

And no one caught it till after the fact.

The only department that can come out of this safely is the Judiciary. Everyone else will be going down in history as incompetent at best, traitors at worst. The government, the system of checks and balances, cannot work when most of it has its hands in corruption.

But here's the thing: even if the absolute worst was realized, treason, collusion, removal from office, criminal charges, the whole nine, the undercurrent that got Trump elected (and I'm not talking about nationalism) will still be a factor. If the left decides that Trump won the election on fake news and white nationalism alone, they'll be doing themselves a disservice.

Even with Trump gone, you're going to have an electorate that is willing to elect a guy like Donald Trump even with all his warts, and both sides should be researching why.

The UK-left imploded long before Brexit. Lib Dems lost all credibility when they went into coalition with the Tories and Labour has been shredding itself since Corbyn became leader. It's also worth noting that much of the right was also against Brexit, including both the former and current Tory leaders/Prime Ministers.
