Wonder what the reaction would be if it was written by a man, and the genders were reversed with men killing women.

There's a lot more in the Bible than, as Dragon Claws put it, women (or men) getting off to the idea of being able to instantly kill and man they touch.
That being said, I agree that there's a lot of shit in the Bible that is unacceptable. And if we were to praise the Bible specifically for its misogynistic ideals with literature awards and the such, I would be equally disgusted.

Seriously, you know I won't? You don't know jack shit about me. I spend a lot of time maintaining objectivity when it comes to these kinds of things. It's something I promised myself I would do when I was young, because very few people seem to give enough of a damn about truth to embrace it even when it hurts them.
Something tells me this was the authors way of lashing out at all the men who took one look at her and ran away screaming. Unfortunately we live in a time where her man hating crap gets given public approval, just like modern day sjw marvel.

You don't believe they exist, or you don't want to acknowledge them?
In either case, there are no platitudes here, though of course that's at least a partially subjective statement. Still, you're maintaining your characteristic unwillingness to engage in a discussion about the actual topic, rather opting to spew baseless shit about character, thinking you know more about others than you certainly do. Let me know when you have something more to offer than 'mike pence memes', 'lol triggered' and '*insert baseless judgement of character*'.
Seems there was a series "gor"

Not much in the way of complaints about it.
How about stop playing the victim card?
Ok? That's an... interesting idea. Sounds kinda stupid but whatever, awards are dumb anyway.
From you link:
Doesn't seem like you're quite right. But that doesn't matter. The issue here isn't that this literature exists. That's quite fine. The issue is that it's receiving praise and possibly awards as a direct result of the inflammatory and misandrist story which seems to be a central tenet of the book. The Encyclopedia of Fantasy has stated that the first several books are "passable exercises" of Edgar Rice Burroughs style fiction while "later volumes degenerate into extremely sexist, sadomasochistic pornography involving the ritual humiliation of women, and as a result have caused widespread offence".[9][16]

I never said I would be a gallant knight. I said I would argue for truth. Sometimes the truth is something that mt people disagree with, and sometimes I end up being a villain in other people's eyes.
Again, this is irrelevant to the thread, so I don't know why you're still bringing it up. And, let's not forget that you initiated this with your baseless judgement that I would not criticize a similar book where the victims of these powers are homosexuals, or any other group.
