Why does the burning legion include void beings?

So as far as I'm aware, (I don't own Chronicles) Sargeras basically found the Void and knew it was bad news, and decided that destroying the universe was better than letting it become corrupted and made the Legion, but why does it include Void beings?

I'm not going to lie, seeing this area of the map pissed me off with how ludicrous it is. Fel-infested zone, with a small void area? How?

Dreadlords have been commonly shown to practically prefer shadow and void-based magic. Hell, Sargeras' entire Legion is basically "I hate these guys but I need someone who is willing to eradicate all life in the universe".

If you absolutely despise some creature in the universe, how common is it to enslave it and use it for your own benefit? It's the entire basis for the warlock class.

The Warlocks and other casters within the Legion have always had some truck with the Void and Shadow magic - they use it because it is powerful, serves some needs not met by the Fel, and simply because it is efficient. Not to mention the "fight fire with fire" motif. Some Eredar, many Nathrezim, and other demons have a noted preference for Shadow magic.

and shadow magic is coming from void exclusively or? if its from void or its derivative isn't void other dimension that is complete opposite of plain of reality where is legion and where we are and they need manifestations of old gods to do their work...only explanation is if there is other source of shadow magic in this plain of reality which legion uses..

All Shadow magic derives from the Void, but it is accessible in many places - the Void is an energy source just like the Light, the Elements, or the Arcane. The Twisting Nether, the home dimension of the demonic species, is itself rife with the chaotic and conflicting energies of both the Light and the Void. It's the chaotic interaction between these energies at the dawn of the cosmos that gave rise to the Nether, and the demons share in that chaotic nature.

I would even consider, that Legion found an way to enslave at least smaller voidwalkers, but void lord? I doubt on it.

Do we know how powerful an individual Void Lord is though? Chronicles mentions that only the strongest can manifest in the material universe, implying that there's a grade of power among them. Maybe they aren't all that powerful at all alone and many Void Lords need to work together to cause any real harm. We also know that they're less powerful than a fully awakened Titan. Chronicles also mentioned that they pooled their power to create and scatter the Old Gods, so a single Void Lord might even be weaker than a single Old God, and many of them had to work together to create them.

It could also be just a fragment of a Void Lord - Xal'atath describes that some manifestations of the Void Lords beyond the Void are just echoes of the real thing.

Actually, this is a pretty excellent explanation for why they're there.

The amount of void stuff used by the Legion is either extremely lore breaking or proof that they've already lost to the void lords without realizing it. Kinda like Arthas wielding a necromantic runeblade to fight undead, only to become a deathknight.

Sometimes I get the feeling though, that blizzard thinks most of it's playerbase are idiots who don't know that the Old Gods and Legion hate each other more than us and just throw shit out there.

The demons use the Void like the Demon Hunters use the Fel - the weapon of one's enemy turned against them. Of course, I've no doubt there are a number of demonic entities who could be seduced by the siren's call of the Void, or already have been Much like there are several Demon Hunter notables who have shifted their allegiance from the Illidari to the Legion under the corrupting influence of Fel power.

Using the power of the void to destroy planets with titan souls does not further the aims of the Void Lords.
As long as Azeroth is destroyed, and thus the Void has no way to corrupt its soul into the "Dark Titan" that Sargeras most fears, it doesn't matter what the means are. If they can manipulate void elementals into consuming the planet entirely, destroying its soul, then the Legion have won.
And it's clear that void energy can be easily manipulated for aims that do not further the plans of the Void because both priests and warlocks do it all the time. It's an energy source that is the dominion of great powers, but just like how clearly evil people (like one of the Horsemen) can use the light in ways that would go against the wishes of the Naaru, that doesn't mean that every manifestation of Void is directly helping its most powerful children.

Individual voidwalkers and void elementals don't even all necessarily seem to be directly under the thrall of their lords. They have an inherent desire to simply consume all that is around them that can be very useful if directed at the right target, an echo of their masters' desire to consume everything in existence. This can be counterproductive if harnessed by someone else, because it means they can quite easily destroy something that would have been useful for the Void Lords.
The mutated minions of the old gods seem like far more useful servants for the Void Lords for complex plans than void elementals, which are primal manifestations of entropy rather than particularly intelligent thinking and planning beings.

It's not clear what Sargeras plans to do with his Legion after it has served its purpose (perhaps he hasn't even thought that far ahead), but as far as he's concerned it's clearly not a problem how the job gets done as long as it gets done. He wouldn't have picked demons as his minions otherwise.

There's more than just the magic, there's numerous creatures of the void that are apart of the Legion and are used constantly. Even working with Xavius should be a huge no no for the Legion.

On the Broken Shore, where the Voids Slaves are, the entire area is covered in void. The area is even called the Shadow Fracture and there's a creature there called "Shackled Void Lord" that takes the form of a fallen Naaru. They are weakening the Broken Shore with taint from the Twisting Nether and the Void. They are inviting void creatures onto a world that has a world soul.

The demons use the Void like the Demon Hunters use the Fel - the weapon of one's enemy turned against them.
We're not the void though. This isn't a fight fire with fire situation. This is a prevent the fire situation... but they're resorting to using to prevent... the fire...

Sargeras already lost against the Void Lords and doesn't know it. In his haste to stop the enemy, he delivered the universe to them.
