QUESTION: At what age did you move of your parents place?

18. Went to college, but they were halfway supporting me, while I also had a work-study job on campus. Made a point to live like a pauper while in college and save, save, save. Got a job about 2 months before graduation, rented an efficiency apartment, never been back.

Had been 17 for 2 months when I joined the Army. One of the best decisions I have ever made.

I moved out at 22-23 - don't remember, exactly. Lived with my grandfolks about a year before striking out on my own. I'm sure I'd have moved back long before now, but I'm in the middle of nowhere with no family to rely on and not enough money to move back...which is a damn good motivator for staying on your own feet.

Was hoping to buy another property and save up while at my parents... I ended up with a failed investment and our market has become too unpredictable. So I'm holding off moving for now.

Moved out when I was 19 would have moved out earlier but its hard to find a place here in Stockholm but my mom actually helped me find a place and after I have been on my own since then.

Technically, I moved out and lived on my own at 14, renting from a friend for a long while, using my room at my parents house as a facade to make them think I was a good girl, I had a job at a local pizzeria. Went full time at 17, then officially moved out then.

Granted, I made money in many other ways outside of working as a pizza delivery girl. I could have easily gotten my rented a house or maybe even pushed my own down-payment on a house to own at 17. I had expensive tastes, though, growing up with money and being able to earn money quite easily at that time in era.

I'm 26, I "moved out" at 19 when my mom and only parent died. Honestly, as much as it is nice to do everything my way and be entirely independent, it's also a huge money sink and there's really no hurry to move out as long as you like your parents and are taking care of yourself like a proper adult (help out with bills, buy your own food, etc)

23 here. In retrospect I probably should have stayed a bit longer to build a better 'push' for myself, but at that point getting out was a top priority.
