Honestly, I'm not convinced that's legit. So many differences it would have taken hundreds of thousands of dollars to pull off. That said, while I realize you're being satirical, orientation is based on attraction. If you're a man and you're not into men, you're not gay. Being attracted to a convincing trans-woman does not make you "gay", regardless of their naughty bits.

Doubt it, you probably got lucky with 20k. It's very hard to get into YouTube nowadays, people think they can upload basic edited videos and live off it, that's not how it works. You might have one awesome video that nets some good views and gets a few subs, but keeping that up for every single upload is very hard and time consuming.

In between all the boob and pretty girls there are some really entertaining and interesting people on twitch.

This is basically what the film and music industry are.

This is nothing. Some streamers are able to pull in way, WAY more. e.g. this single donation: https://clips.twitch.tv/LittleTrappedTruffleFunRun

Some people are lucky enough to have the right interests, the right personality, and the right audience to be able to make a living off of Twitch subscriptions and donations (calebhart42 obviously being one of them). The Vinesauce team raised over $100,000 for charity donations in 2016 alone. Not everyone can do it, but some can.

I mean I did do a little bit of marketing for the video and I put in many hours editing, but you're right. Making a good video which will attract a significant amount of viewers typically takes a lot of work. You might get lucky here and there but if you want consistency you'll need to put in the work.

Am I expecting to ever make a living out of youtube? Probably not. I'll stick to my day job. But if I think I have a good idea for a video I'll go for it. Never going to quit my job over it unless I somehow started consistently getting 300k+ views or whatever it would take.

Most of these young women in this situation don't even respond to chat either, I made mention of this in one stream and was immediately banned.

Kinda makes you wonder if these young women are being trafficked for their looks which would be deplorable but I suppose you can't put anything past anyone when their is a chance to make money off of something or someone.

Jimmy Thick- Well, off the the Asian Massage Parlor.
Is human trafficking really more likely than someone finding some random footage of a girl and mixing it with gameplay?

OT: streaming is entertainment, low effort, but it gets views. Nothing wrong with asking for donations. People obviously enjoy what you are doing if they watch you, and some people don't mind supporting content creators they enjoy. Be it movies, music, or in this case, streams.

No it doesn't. It means my plan could work. Mind you it does depend on your family's genetics, but whatever doesn't grow, we can solve with surgery. Keep the eye on the prize, which is massive Twitch donations and your own personal pair of boobs. What could go wrong?

BTW, here's another to question your sexuality.

Have you seen the video where the girl dresses up as a man for 9 months and hated it because it was harder being a guy? Now if you could choose how big of tits you get with your sex change, it would almost be dumb not to get one. Hot chick = life on ez mode.

    Yes, a lot.

Streamers have relied on donations via their channels for years now. Subs and advertisements are nowhere near enough to make a living.

Most streamers that do so heavily are professional streamers. Thus they have an interest in making a living or supplementing income via streaming. Many do so now- Ziggy D, Kripp, Mors, et cetera.

What game one is playing is largely irrelevant long term; viewers support streamers over the long haul because the streamer affects an entertaining personality to their viewers. No different than tuning into one's favorite talk show host, Vlogger or session player(s).

People other than woman stream and receive donations.

Of the top 5 games being streamed as of my writing, the majority streamers are men. Sampling the top 5 streamers per channel by viewer count at the moment, all streamers are accepting donations.

The 'good looks' comment and specific note of gender is very likely your own faulty bias and misogyny. Deeply problematic.

Also we are pretty well on with the internet at this point- how could any one in earnest have wonderment about it's state or user created media of any kind? This 'aloud thinking' via thread and topic creation is a soft way to insult others or stir debate over whatever one's kink is today.

    "Kids these days..."
    "Am I the only one?"
    "What am I missing here?"
    "Is it just me or..."

This is all the same stuff really. Time moves on. Get with it. Stay with it, always.

That's not how that word works. Also, pointing out the existence of a phenomenon is not indicative of bias. Fact is, "hot" chics "play" in skimpy clothing to make money. Nothing wrong with that or those who donate to them. But accusing someone of "misogyny" for pointing out such a phenomenon is pretty stupid.

But whatever. I guess there's a market for it. Just not my cup of tea.
Because you enjoy the person that plays it? People have personalities you know. Sometimes I don't even play the game I am watching someone play and I don't care, but I enjoy watching the person playing the game.

Btw, I am a subscriber (5 dollars a month) to Kripp, a vegan Canadadian man with a beard in his 30s and plays children's digital card games. Definetely not for his looks.. lul.. And I actually don't even play Hearthstone anymore because I don't want to spend money on buying packs.

Well, it's the way twitch works. Most streamers don't run adds because they don't really pay, as you need really high viewer numbers to be worth, but actively drive people away when played. It's s catch 22 of a sort. And subs are not really an option for most people, as you would need around 300 of them monthly to total up to a reasonable wage. Hence tips and donations.

That said, I also do not like the culture, and constant interrupts to read out donations, as well as interactions with chat is the reason I do not watch twitch.

Yeh. Kripp doesn't read donations and there is nothing about subs/donations that are on the screen, however he does play adds semi-frequently (not for subs). He reads out a long list of subs at once and then gives them all a simultaneous "Bro-fist" to minimize the non-gaming time.
