Yeah i just got one that turns Jokers melee into whats effectively FF's 'mug' so i get items from attacks. I know a few folks skipping them because "fuck socialising in a game about combat" and boy will their experience suffer for it.

Honestly I find the combat boring in comparison to the socializing and the story lol.

Holy shit did the game just get easier. The moment you can after you get charm to rank 3 go to the church and make friends with the Shogi playing girl to unlock the Star S-link. You can now swap characters with backups during fights. Thats a godsend when you run into those random fights where a party members elemental weakness means a 5 enemy fight gets "One More!" for every one of them and they OTKO you.

So just beat the 7th palace and I gotta ask, is there any way to farm SP recovery items? All I got are the invigorate 3 accessories which got the job done but if the fights went just a bit longer even those wouldn't be enough.

I've been slacking on those 2 because they seem to take the longest to rank up for some reason.

Fortune, Temperance, Death, and Moon are the 4 non-squad arcanas that I would definitely suggest maxing or at least getting to a high level. I won't say why because of spoilers, but you can easily find their skills.

Yeah Temperance is the only one of those 4 I haven't maxed. I didn't have the money at the time so I didn't prioritize it as much as I should have.

Just beat the third palace. My only real gripe gameplay wise just now is the sneaking- a few times I haven't been able to get out of sneak mode when I wanted to and got slammed by the enemy, the controls seemed a little clunky.

Beat the 4th palace, definitely the easiest but some great story hooks. So far it seems a little less dense than P3/4 but also feels way less overwhelming so i guess its a better balance so far.

The fourth one is Futaba's, right? I agree it was the easiest but man did it have some headache puzzles. So much backtracking and you didn't know when you went too far or not. And yes, Futaba is a total qt. Best little sister ever

I'm on the 4th now the mobs are really easy not sure why. The 3rd palace was annoying with mobs

Is anyone else using almost all of their spare time with their confidants? With 21 of them I'm just not doing anything else besides the meta verse

WoW, you guys are moving up so fast. I'm 7 hours in and i haven't even completed the 1st Palace. I think i am about to tomorrow.

But i can tell by what i have played so far that this game is very addicting. I love the visuals, interface, music and pretty much about everything.

The only thing annoying me is the screen right after u complete a battle. It takes to long to pass and i don't know how to pass it any faster.
BUT when you finish the battle with an "All Out" attack the battle finishes instantly. I just wish i could do that on every battle.

It's the same if not more time with an all out attack, you have to factor in the animation...

Also it's just there in place of a loading screen, as that's exactly what it's doing loading you in and out of a battle. I would rather look at a flashy screen then just see "loading" or the hat twirling in the right corner but that's just me.

i try to spend half the time doing stuff to raise skills in a day and half social but post palace 4 you start getting social stuff that takes all day. right now i have 15/21 and 6 at 6-8 and the rest 1-4 because some you really need to give up other stuff to fit in.

So far the only real interesting one has been the Temperance story because it feels like it might actually be tying into the main plot whereas things like Moon feel like predictable side story filler like the kendo club style stuff in p3.

After 86 hours I have finished my first play through. Fantastic game and now for new game+ where I can max out the rest of my confidantes, didn't even max half of them first time through but at least it gives me something to look forward to.
