I don't watch e-celebs, they interest me not in the least. From what I know second-hand of this guy, he's your typical anti-casual, gear-snob elitist.
But he doesn't deserve to die for that, not at all. People saying "good" are just being edgy. I've seen someone decline over a two month period from small-cell lung cancer. To say it's not pretty would be the mother of all understatements.
I wish him well, and I will continue to ignore any sht he says about WoW.

Just gonna leave that here.
I have a hard time caring for the well being of someone I have not only no respect for, but have disrespect for. I'm not saying you deserve cancer if you literally tell someone to die, but you get what's coming to you. Surely.

Looking around at treatment and scans I found this from wikipedia.
In the United States, an MRI of the brain with and without contrast billed to Medicare Part B entails, on average, a technical payment of US$403/€300 and a separate payment to the radiologist of US$93/€70.[158] In France, the cost of an MRI exam is approximately €150/US$205. This covers three basic scans including one with an intravenous contrast agent as well as a consultation with the technician and a written report to the patient's physician.[citation needed] In Japan, the cost of an MRI examination (excluding the cost of contrast material and films) ranges from US$155/€115 to US$180/€133, with an additional radiologist professional fee of US$17/€12.50.[159] In India, the cost of an MRI examination including the fee for the radiologist's opinion comes to around Rs 3000–4000 (€37–49/US$50–60), excluding the cost of contrast material. In the UK the retail price for an MRI scan privately ranges between £350 and £700 (€405–810).[160]
Only rival companies. Never a bad word about Blizzards dodgy practices like leaving servers to rot so they can cash in on transfer fees.
He's a really annoying dude. I wouldn't wish death on him or anything, but if someone had to get cancer I'm not shedding any tears that it was him. Still, hopefully he pulls through for his family's sake, I guess.
Eh, not particularly. He did buy into the "ethics in video game journalism" angle for a while but not the subtext that it was a smokescreen for.

I think he should be given a little credit on that:

People say shit like that on the internet all the time. Shit we do it on here. I've probably said it to someone at some point. It's a culture we're all a part of and we do fuck all to stop.
I thought he was a terrible SC2 caster who lacked game insight. Didn't hear of him since then. Hopefully he will use his popularity to help fellow people who suffer from cancer by supporting research and to enable treatment in 3rd/2nd world countries.
Saying get cancer and die, is the shittiest thing someone can say and I'm sure this is not the only case. For all I care karma has done it's job.
Some people on here are just terrible people, always acting like they are the Pinnacle of human morality and claiming they have said nothing or have done nothing they regret when they get angry or depressed. Absolutely disgusting.
I hope the poor man gets well. No one should suffer like this.
Karma is when your good deeds are paid in kind and your bad deeds are repaid in full. If you think saying something like that rather than, say, a rape or death threat deserves literally getting cancer and possibly dying, you are just using karma as an excuse to hear about him suffering.
