If it's not going to matter either way I can understand not voting. I'm still curious about the timeframe though, when I had to vote earlier this year it took me more than 2 months to get registered, so it seems quite tight.

Socialism is a perfect system for those who were too stupid to study and school and too lazy to make anything of their lives as an adult.

Socialism is society working to better itself as a whole, while still allowing for personal advancement for those with the wit, skill and cunning to do so.

And dont even mention school, cos the british school system is quite frankly piss poor.

Overall it would not make a difference, but in the constituency I vote in it could be quite close. We have first past the post, I might get a postal vote.

You can always have a look at what has happened wherever it has been implemented, for example see Venezuela, which Corbyn praised.

It's going to be a bloodbath for Labour. Look at their shadow cabinet, it's an absolute joke. They'll be falling like dominoes, dominoes...

It's a pipe dream of a utopia, in reality it just doesn't work. I've spent some time over on the Socialism sub reddit and honestly it's like a cult of crazed lunatics that won't listen to logic or reason, only to others that share this utopic dream.

So to look at the success of socialism, we should look at countries that are not socialist?

if Labour is to stand any sort of chance, Corbyn has to stand down immidiatly and get someone in charge who has fucking balls for a change.

Didn't we have to bail out the ENTIRE banking system a lot more recently than that? Because the economy was utterly, royally fucked? Wait, wasn't that effectively a socialist bailout of the entire capitalist system? Hmm, that can't be right, can it?

Please, feel free to explain how that fits into your view of socialism. Shouldn't we have just left capitalism to collapse, because that would have been the capitalist response to the situation?

Sorry five minutes ago Ireland was a socialist country. Which is it?

To be fair, 'Dont know' polls better than Corbyn, they could just make it a mystery.

The worst thing to happen to the labour party was picking Ed Miliband over David and their slide to the left. It's a decision that will when all is said and done have made them politically irrelevant for 20 years.

I have no clue what point you are trying to make. Apart from ignoring mine, of course. Unless you have forgotten the 2008 GLOBAL financial crisis, and somehow decided that I was talking about a bailout that was confined to Ireland.

I'm just trying to figure out Irelands political system, I'm not an expert. I have one socialist telling me Ireland is a socialist country with a perfect model for others to follow. I have another telling me they're a capitalist country that needed bailing out by another capitalist country and this is an example of why capitalism is bad. I'm very confused.

The reason GB had to bail out Greece, Spain et al is because we were forced to, gun against temple, by the Union to which we will no longer belong.

PS: who fucked the banks? Oh yeah Labour. Thanks.
