The only reasonable arguments are to abolish the draft, or force women to sign up just like men have to.

Even if the draft got abolished in peace times, if a war so severe it needed the use of the draft arrived, they'd just bring the draft back.

I read them. It reads like standard Washington insider establishment social conservative drivel. Basically a liberal saying what they think conservationism is all about, without a single mention of free market principles, or economic policy devoid of gigantic government.

They aren't planning to draft, the article in OP is almost a year old. It's about updating and bringing policy's to more modern terms, which includes making the draft policy gender neutral.

We will likely not use the draft again for a long time, if ever. Wars are being fought mostly long range now anyway. Just my way of looking at it. If we need to do the draft again we are waaaay up sh!t creek and need every soul we can get. Doesn't bother me a bit draftin females, they don't get privilege if it comes to that...
