World at War was my second favourite CoD game, CoD 4 being my favourite, obviously I'd love to see the franchise go back to basics, with simple killstreaks and perks, and less of the flashy OTT crap.

Kind of a bland title, but I am interested. Been a good while since there has been a proper AAA WW2 shooter.

Depending how they go about it I am interested.

Things that will make me 100% buy the game.

1) DLC Maps don't cost (Be like Titanfall damit, stop cutting your playerbase up)
2) Dedicated servers, No more Peer 2 Peer bullshit.
3) No wall running bullshit.

Do these three things and ill buy it day 1, Hell ill even pre-order.

Can always hope, but I'm doubtful, only your third will probably come true. That said I am somewhat interested, mw2 was the last cod game I really played and I honestly miss some ww2 games as I really enjoyed the first few games as well as just finding the whole setting much more interesting than modern wars. Definitely won't be a day 1 buy though as call of duty games lately have been known to be poorly optimised for pc, although from what I hear the studio behind this game is at least one of better ones in that regard.

What else could they do? They abandoned older settings because people bitched they were stale. They abandoned modern settings because people bitched they were stale. Now they are abandoning science fiction because people are bitching it is stale.

There isn't much else they can do with the IP... It is a first person shooter. Not to mention people wanted this.

CoD WWII still wont compare to BF1.

BF1 is the most realistic war game ever created. CoD would have to change their physics completely from the games they have recently released.

Black Ops 3? Yeah that game is fun, but its way too unrealistic and it gets old fast.

BF1? Yeah I can play that game all day long and never get bored.

It will still be the same boring small map casual shooter. Good for 30 mins then gets boring.
