I wonder if misogyny will also play a role in this election.

Funny how things change, depending on the political spectrum :P

More likely feminism might play a role in the upcoming vote. Women voting for Le Pen just because she is a woman..... France has never had a female president. France has only had one female prime minister, and that didn't last long either. French women might have a thirst for a female leader, regardless of her being a far right extremist.

Yeah, and Le Pen will lose because the French are heeding that warning.

Trump and Brexit could only be successful in the venomous Murdochsphere (meaning US and UK).

National populism has been losing every election in western Europe in 2017.

It's based on fact that 40% on french voters are considered undecided. It only take one small terrorist attack to make majority of that 40% to vote for Le Pen. Plus there will be Le Pen's hidden electorate, just like with Trump, people don't tell polls they wanna vote for Le Pen (because of shame) but in the end they will vote for her.

Undecided? They just voted tonight. And the last week's attack didn't changed anything.

The next two weeks are about getting support from the defeated ones and Macron is in a way better position than Le Pen.

Well you will see how close of a race it will be on 7th then. It wont be those 25%+ in favor of Macron. It will end up with Le Pen grabbing it by 1-2 percent, the ultimate european upset.

France had a terrorist attack 2 days before the elections. And this isn't Le Pen's first election either, there are no "hidden voters", she needed every single vote to even reach the second round.

I have confidence that France is more rational than US/UK.

Problem is that most people don't know what to do with the information they get and some use that to control them through fear and lies.
    It's not all good.

In any case, the PC or non-PC debate is mostly an american thing.

    Again, based on what?

At best, she will get 10% from Melenchon and 5% from Filion.

I mean just look at the turn the world has taken since 2015. Brexit, Trump, Turkey etc. It's sensible to expect France will also go far-right. You just can't trust polls anymore. The less educated, nationalist people will end up electing Le Pen.

Turkey and Brexit polls weren't wrong, and the US uses a whole other system.
Dutch polls where correct, so where the French polls for first round.

Ofcourse, leave it up to you liberals to smear Melenchon as the 'technocratic elite'.

A lot of social democratic countries have sadly been shitting the bed. They should stop moving to the center, it'll leave people with no choice but to go to moderate socialist parties.

And considering that of the other 3 that didnt make it, 2 are supporting macron (as far as i know), i really cant see how le pen will win
Forgive my english, as i'm not a native speaker

Reading twitter is hilarious right now.

So many people think that a 20 point lead is similar to the 1-2 point remain lead or the 2-3 point Clinton lead, and therefore Le Pen will win!
