Why did you change the OP from a mythic highmaul run for cloak transmogs to Legion legendaries? Easier for people to relate?
Changing the op because people probably wouldn't agree with you is kinda sad.
Any way I have no problem with rng never have I tend to have bad rng he. It comes to winning gear by good when it comes to rolling on mount drops so I'm fine with it.
I wouldn't mind if the %'s of some of the RNG were a bit higher, but I don't hate it no.
if you only have 2 legendaries on 2 characters, its not the game/rng, its you. people who put in actual time into the game get rewarded more, thats life. I have friends who have 15-20 legendaries across all characters, and they dont even play as much as top end players do. Casual players have no right to complain about rng if they havent put the work in. If you have 5 legendaries and the only 3 you don't have are you BiS ones, then THATS when you complain about rng.
I hate any RNG-gating. Simply because RNG - is way to fool us. "Skinner chamber" thing. It's simple psychology. When game developer tells you to kill 1000 mobs - you feel, that it's terrible grind. But when game developer tells you to get some item with 0.1% droprate - you start to fool yourself via this "may be I'm lucky?" feeling. Yeah, sometimes you're lucky and this thing baits you. But you should know simple rule - casino always wins. On average you will always spend more tries, than if you would just grind some fixed amount of mobs.

I don't care about Wow 11.0, if it's not solo-MMO. No half-measures - just perfect xpack.
Stop pretending you're entitled to a legendary. They're meant to be surprises. You wouldn't give a fuck about any of them if they had purple text. In fact you probably wouldn't even know they exist if they had purple text.
Having the best gear in the game come from anywhere - completely at random, making it purely a test of grinding and free time, not skill - seems like an awful design.
I don't raid so it doesn't affect me much. From level 850 on all world content is total faceroll, so, the random stats on gear and usefulness of what lego's I find is negligible.
I can understand how frustrating it must be for people who want to raid, though, having the ability to get group invites be mostly dependent on RNG.
F2P: If you don't think it's worth my money, I don't think it's worth my time.
RNG in terms of Legos and WF/TF has made me really hate this expansion.
If the devs really wanted a drop to be a YES! moment then they should have kept Valor around. You are working your way toward a piece of gear. You are focused and know that you will get what you want if you keep working at it and then bam a better piece drops randomly. That would feel amazingly great. But with RNG as the only means of acquiring gear it seems more like blind luck... instead of something heroic.
Again I can't really speak for raiders but from what I've read, they'd disagree. At least when the best loot was boss drops, people could target specific bosses for their loot tables. And they're obtained doing what raiders want to do, raid.
Now getting BiS gear involves doing as much of the mind-numbing grind crap as possible, that I'm sure most of them hate having to do.
F2P: If you don't think it's worth my money, I don't think it's worth my time.
I hate it, but I tolerate it.
I definitely prefer the days when you could target specific gears an make specific goals.
Instead of the just do everything and eventually you'll get what you need... possibly, maybe, well... probably not.
Game has always been RNG and it's always worked, and I'm fine with it.
Who remembers running MC and not getting your class-specific item to drop like, ever?
Who remembers running BT hoping for something to drop only to have a handful of others also wanting it, then it drops and you lose the roll/bid, then waiting weeks on end hoping for it to drop again (hello, stupid bow)?
Who remembers farming KT for the wep drops, then when Envoy finally drops after the 12th to 15th kill (lost track), it goes to a different hunter and it never drops again until you are farming in MoP and now have the xmog but spent the majority of 3.0 and 3.1 using a sub-par wep because nothing ever dropped, even in Ulduar after months of mind-melting raiding?
I'm sure most people here have cringeworthy stories that would make even Legion RNG issues seem less so.
RNG has been a constant theme with WoW.
Is there more now? Sure.
Is it any worse, though? Sure, but not much.
We already know they screwed the pooch on legendaries and the existence of TF, but otherwise, it's all a big game of lottery since day 1.
At least they give us weapons this xpac, which are the largest source of DPS/HPS, right out the gate and replaced specific wep drops with more generic relic drops because it's about goddamn time we remove dagger drops from the game when there is nary a rogue in sight to use them...
World content RNG isn't a big deal to me; over time RNG will smooth out for most people. It's a little more annoying for stuff like raid drops, but that's so temporary (either the item will be eventually replaced, or if it's something I want for transmog, I'll still be able to get it in the future).
You're not allowed to discuss conspiracy theories on mmo-champion, which makes me wonder what they're trying to hide.
