Would you have preferred that he fight to shut down the government while we are on the brink of nuclear war? Saving the domestic squabbling for another day, especially since any of this can be changed literally tomorrow, seems to have been the prudent move.

Why would anyone want to be the president now? You've got to look at society from "outer space". It's actually disgusting when you look at it. The next person to become president gets put under this new 21st century super media and social media microscope where everyone is publicly gossiping over and criticizing your every single move, down to wiping your butt, up to signing legislature.

You can see all nastiness in real time and everyone is constantly going to throw out their opinions, every single person.

Why does someone even want to be the president? They haven't exactly been models of greatness for the past 30 years.

Interesting to note that a lot of the GOP wanted to increase funding for NIH...and they got it.

He's unified the Dems against him. As a result, if he wants to get something through congress, he has to get nearly 100% GOP buy in. And that's tough. Too much spending? Deficit hawks say no. Cut entitlements? Moderates balk. Special interest getting an ox gored? The legislators with that special interest in their areas object.
