Good as a metaphor - worth being built and protected-, meh and with serious complications as a real thing.
That's about the extent of my opinion on it.

Yeah. A fence where he wanted to build a wall. A corporate government where he promised to help the forgotten. Bank managers and not factory jobs.
A military strike against syria where he promised to not mix into the conflict. Well, and a partnership with russia, whos leader probably currently thinks "Shit. SHIT! Never ever i should try a nationalist populist puppet anymore!"
Yeah. Delivering.
As a side note:
Is 'competetive" the opposite to 'protectionistic'?
So, I was listening to Trumps speech. He was discussing the budget and making the "positive" Republican points that Democrats didn't point out. One thing he mentioned was that "allocation for border security was increased, enough to support the down payment on a wall". I quoted that, but it's not exact. He then said, "Even though Democrats didn't point this out". He went on to say, the current wall/fences would be upgraded and fixed as a start.
So, it's an interesting thing. Basically, border security money was increased by billions of dollars. However, as a compromise, it wasn't "allocated" to a specific task. This allows Democrats to say, we did not approve money for a wall, while allowing Trump to say, we got funding for the wall in the budget.

Meanwhile, along the US-Canada border...
Come now, we all knew it was never gonna be a reality.
Sure he might be building a fence but thats a far cry from the wall he promised would be build on Mexico's bill.
