Because sometimes we can improve look-a-like pieces by combining with our paladin-only stuff. Plus a person might enjoy a paladin's spec more compared to a DK or warrior.
I myself enjoy warrior gear but wouldn't ever main a warrior. So instead I mix and match warrior tier on my paladin.
Broken Shore Plate above the waist and back
Legion Plate Quest armor waist down
Hammer of Wicked Infusion and Blackrock Bulwark
I know it's probably not that unique, but in my search for transmogs, I've grown to love the S6 PvP set, so I've been tweaking around it. I also finally got around to getting the shattered sun tabard so I'm experimenting with it to see if it meshes well.
Head: Crown of Empowered Fate
Shoulder, Gloves, Chest, Legs: Furious Gladiator set
Tabard: Shattered Sun Tabard
Cloak: Cloak of Sweltering Flame
Waist: Crafted Dreadful Gladiator's Clasp of Meditation
Feet: Apocalypse's Advance
Weapon: Obsidium Executioner
Illusion: Light of the Earth-Warder
I think I nailed the cloaks color combination with the set, but if anyone can find better options I open to suggestions.
Got the sword from today's invasion. Set originally posted here and weapon discussed here.
I was hoping the sword would match better than it does, but most of the armor unfortunately has more of a purplish tint to the red, whereas the sword is more orange/rust. Strangely, the chestpiece is a much closer match to the sword's colors than is the rest of the set.
Also, illusions look stupid on the sword (a la Hellrender), so I didn't use one.

Some really nice looks! Does anyone know if there are plate hand sets that look like gloves rather than covering the whole forearm?

Will take a screenshot later and I don't have the PvP cloak yet, but I quite like it. Spammed the world quests and obliterated pieces until I got all but the cloak. Eventually I'll get it.

Song that's currently stuck in my head: pretty much anything from Dance With the Dead
I did an invasion earlier today and was lucky to have this bad boy drop. http://www.wowhead.com/item=139156
It's got a nice blackish slate shine to it and some purple accents. I think it goes well with S1 Gladiator armor + Nightfallen Tabard
Trying anything these days to keep myself interested in mogging, to the point of becoming fine with things not exactly matching well enough.

Imo, some of the best transmogs are those with things not exactly matching. For example I like my boots to be black in many of my mogs because boots are usually black, while the rest of my transmog hasn't any black.
The weapon matching exactly the colors of the armor is also sometimes wrong imo aesthetically. We want more something that is nice, the general overview that is, and less things that match at the nearest details, that's my take on it anyway.
And then there are transmogs that are nice but which deeply represent something and we want to stay out of it, T2 for example to me is the totally dark and uncompassionate inquisitor to the core, I don't want that in my mogs, althought T2 is extremely well designed and acclaimed.
