Besides, this entire thread is built on the premise of some rando conservatives internet faux outrage. It'd be silly not to include it.
There are no worse scum in this world than fascists, rebels and political hypocrites.
Donald Trump is only like Hitler because of the fact he's losing this war on all fronts.
Apparently condemning a fascist ideology is the same as being fascist. And who the fuck are you to say I can't be fascist against fascist ideologies?

Exactly, no one could ever say anything to or about Obama, or anyone close to or related to Obama, without being called a racist bigot and losing their job. And it wasn't limited to criticizing Obama either, if you dared to oppose any part of the liberal agenda, liberals demanded you lose your job. They got there way a lot of the time too.

Like the one executive, I forget the company he worked for, who made 100% legal, and 100% private donations to a political group supporting Prop 8 in California. Prop 8 was a ballot measure in California to outlaw gay marriage, a ballot measure that PASSED with a majority of the vote in super liberal California. Liberals found out some big shot executive made a donation in support of Prop 8, in direct violation of his privacy rights and California law, and got him fired because of it.

So yeah, what Colbert did was vile and disgusting, and people have every right to demand he be fired. Because had any late night host said those exact same things about Obama, they'd be out of a job before the episode finished airing. If the network would allow it air at all. It's exactly that sort of double standard that got Trump elected in the first place. And no one, absolutely no one, on the left gets ever accuse anyone else of being "triggered". The entire use of the term in current society comes exclusively from liberals being triggered over anything and everything. There is a big difference between non liberals having legitimate complaints and liberals getting triggered over complete nonsense. Like someone saying things "you guys" and liberals threatening to kill people for assuming their gender. That's being triggered.

I believe the use of the term, in this context, is not meant to be "anti-gay" but actually meant to be "He's somebody elses bitch whom he humiliates himself to service". In this case, Colbert is making fun of how Donnie Dump is Putin's little bitch.

    It's more a satyre-based male dominance joke than anything anti-gay. :P

The modern left has become such a toxic caricature just like the right was back in the 80s and during the bush years that it needs to be brought straight back to the middle.

I like how the strategy is saying that Trump is Putin's bitch is somehow denigrating to gays. That's a bold strategy cotton, let's see how it doesn't pay off.
Saying that Trump is Putin's bitch by attributing a gay act to him is denegrating.

The exact same criticism applies to the far right now as it does the left.

It wasn't a good joke. Colbert is capable of better. Something that belongs in a YT comment.

I don't see how it's homophobic, though. Just because Trump and Putin are both male? In this context, shoving your dick in another person is about control and power, not sexual preference. The act itself isn't just for gay men anyways.

Writing up a 3 paragraph response to an entertainment show expressing their right to free speech as Fauxoutrage News has since 1996 is kind of adorable.

Must suck having such a thin skinned president, huh? Atleast Obama took the insults and criticism from those clowns with some grace.

That's some dipshit mental gymnastics. Typical of anyone from the right. I'll forgive you just this once. Tell em Krazy. They only get one.
First off, I don't take offense, I do not consider I'm on a moral high-ground nor approve of right-or-left-initiated bullshit such as this. Both sides are wrong, but each side likes to emphasize only those comments that go against "them". I find that disgusting.

I actually find the comment fucking funny and would be absolutely fine with it if the emphasis on PC nowadays where not what it is.

I've voted for a socialist party for the last 20 years by the way, don't label me right away because my opinion differs from yours. I do appreciate that you forgive me however; I will go back to my bear cave now and continue hibernation, may wake up in a year or so to find out that the world has become a radio-active wasteland.

It's clearly said in a derogatory fashion. As in "it's bad to have Putins cock in your mouth" which can easily be conferred as "its bad to have any cock in your mouth" which is pretty directly anti-gay. The fact a gay liberal OP doesn't take even the slightest offense shows his own hypocrisy he is so eager to point out.

While I personally can't stand Colbert since he left DS/CR, and don't watch his show anyway , and his "joke" is in poor taste, calling for him to be fired over it is ridiculous. Just stop watching. Enough people do that and he won't have a job anymore anyway.

People working 2 jobs in the US (at least one part-time) - 7.8 Million (Roughly 4.9% of the workforce)

People working 2 full-time jobs in the US - 360,000 (0.2% of the workforce)

Average time worked weekly by the US Workforce - 34.5 hours

So what's the news here? Conservatives copying successful methods of generating traction they learnt from the Left? If you can't beat them, learn from them.

Now now, you can't cry wolf all the time, and then say to someone else not to cry wolf in vain. Let's be consistent.

Fox seems to be in a middle of ritual seppuku these days, no worries on that front.

Oh I have no doubt they'll try to do something. I am certain it will be stopped immediately by a lawsuit and then get thrown out entirely.

If not, the outrage and uprising across the country will be worse than anything we've seen so far, and I know several conservatives personally who would join in the protests, especially young ones, all of whom don't care about the gay issue. Its a move for nothing but those old bigoted 60+ year olds. It blew up in Pence's face (OH DANG THAT'S HOMOPHOBIC NOW TOO!) in Indiana and will again here. This time Trump will be caught in the bukakke.

Or...just, maybe, this has nothing to do with homophobia and is just a smokescreen to mask a triggered knee-jerk tantrum trying to get someone fired. I enjoy the hypocrisy, but not from the way you think is happening here, but from the right with their indignation over dumb shit like #CancelColbert, but are ok with this.

The Far right is just as bad as the left.

    No, it's not.
Yes it is, the joke's very premise is that, Trump is a lesser man, because he sucks cock.
    It's explicitly fucking homophobic.
