Wait.. Calia is in game? holy shit they marginalized her character so much I didn't even realise the last Menethil was in the game.
This tells us you don't believe sentience has value. The Forsaken are clearly sentient, so that you believe eradicating them en masse is acceptable tells us that's not of significance to you.
I'm guessing after the Forsaken, the Trolls will be next? I mean, they're alive, but I don't see that being terribly significant if sentience and intelligence are not.

Even if Calia is interested in the throne, what support she will have?
She was never groomed to be a leader, the people of Lorderon never saw her as their leader, plus, unlike the time when Stormwind got sacked by Orcs where majority of population fled, the population of Lordaeron are mostly undead. There are barely anyone left for her to rule.
Arthas's deed has tainted the name Menethil forever, and it's smart for Calia to lay low. She's associated with one of the worst mass murderer in Azeroth's history, I won't be surprised if some survivor of Third War (Especially the Forsaken or even Lordaeron survivor held Menethil family as a whole responsible and will try to kill Calia if she ever made a public appearance.

You forget that Lordaeronians all over Azeroth would flock to return home. And there's quite more than the ones in the local area.
We've also got Alliance Expedition survivors, Theramore survivors, and Refugees who fled south. They'd all like to return home and start a new life.
The Hillsbrad survivors fled to Fenris Isle, became worgen, and were almost wiped out by the Forsaken in the Silverpine and Hillsbrad storylines. Andorhal, weren't those people who got called in from Stormwind to inhabit the place? And isn't the Argent Crusade is basically defunct, and has merged into the new Order of the Silver Hand?
You are making out lordaeron survivors to be a large number. As far as we know there aren't a lot of theramore survivors. Not to mention it's kind of hard to start a new life if you go to the one place it's easiest for the horde to curb stomp you. It would be like orcs trying to settle in west fall. Not going to work out.
Also I dont think any one survived andorhol.
A few Hillsbrad survivors fled, then they got hunted down. There are no Andorhal survivors, they got completely wiped out by the Scourge and Plague.
Theramore was the largest group of Lordaeron survivors and it was still mostly populated Kul Tiras and only 1 boat escaped... to be captured later by Garrosh. They are effectively wiped out.
There were only a few survivors of the Scourge decimation of Lordaeron.
The undead Scourge unleashed a foul plague of death upon humanity and succeeded in decimating the northern human kingdom of Lordaeron. The few humans who survived fled south to the protection of Stormwind.

The overwhelming majority of Lordaeron was killed by the Scourge. Half of them broke free and became Forsaken.
Half of the standing undead forces, led by the banshee Sylvanas Windrunner, staged a coup for control over the undead empire.

Arguably rightful ruler, the last rightful one was Terenas, once Arthas fell to the Undeath he forfeited his rightful claim In my eyes, and Calia was left as the only choice for rightful heir.
Besides, Calia has potential In marrying Anduin, strenghtening both Kingdoms In a bond of marrige. I mean I already look at Anduin and think.... Blonde of hair... hmh.
If you know Blizzard, they retcon things left right and center. And making Calia "Just a priest" Is a giant wasted opportunity that I hope they realize they've wasted. Don't let your love for Blizz make you think otherwise friend, she's a major character with great potential.
If nothing else, I'd love to see a Warcraft 4 so that we can get another story arc to fall In love with like In Warcraft 3 and once again feel Invested In the story with Calia and other characters as a part of It.
Sure she might be helping fight the Legion... Ironicly the characters who helped fight the Legion last time are sorely missing, you know Thrall and Jaina namely while Tyrande and Malfurion making a minor appearance In their own zone and Tyrande In Suramar, beyond that null. Not to mention how this expansion Is starting to feel quite Alliance centered and It's rubbing me the wrong way being a Horde fanboy.
Permabanned on WoW since April 14th 2015, main acc I had since vanilla gone and trashed for no good reason, 6+ years later still banned with more appeals resulting in my BATTLENET games being suspended for a month eachtime I try making TICKETS because I'm asking for help with the perma ban. Blizzard has stopped caring for their first veteran players and would rather we leave, considering the Lawsuit, can you afford to keep peps banned even for so long under questionable circumstances?
