Is the Horde weaker than the Alliance

The Horde were always seen as the underdogs but has the gap between the Horde and the Alliance grown so large that the Horde has little chance of winning an all out war?

Siege of Orgrimmar took a heavy toll on the Horde and especially the orcs, the former backbone of the Horde.
The Blood Elves' loyalties aren't what they used to be.
The trolls lost their only real leader.
The Forsaken, while a powerful faction, are doomed to stagnation and inevitable decay thanks to Genn.

Does the Horde have any hope should they become enemies with the Alliance once again?

Blizzard only portrays the Horde as a conflicted mess with weak leadership. The Alliance always gets neglected but when they aren't they're always a well-oiled machine of goody-two-shoe heroes.
They're catering to the stereotypical ideas that people have of both factions instead of applying a bit of decent writing for both of em.

The usual Blizzard lore fuckup really.

I hope sylvanas as a warchief certainly gets more time this expansion, as well as the other horde races beyond forsaken/bloodelf.

And next expansion hopefully adds a new race or subraces, it's also high time for some true update to Undercity/Silvermoon.

Now of course Argus and Alleria might certainly do some interesting lore with the Windrunner Sisters, Vereesa/Alleria/Sylvanas.

Not at all? That's the entire idea. The Alliance is made up of well established civilisations with history together. They're far more organised. The Orcs have only been on Azeroth for a few years, maybe a few decades but not long at all. The Forsaken are also very new to existence. It makes perfect sense that they're a ragtag crew with weak leadership. Blood Elves, Undead and Tauren? It's a very unlikely alliance born out of necessity.

In their current standings, the horde would be utterly decimated in an all out war, several horde races are at all time lows and greatly weakened. The best the horde could hope for is the forsaken plague bombing a few more settlements before the alliance and the new silver hand remove them from existence, rendering the horde as effective as a wet noodle.

Which is why i expect the horde to gain a powerful new race by the end of legion, or the alliance to suffer some ludicrously crippling losses to their forces. Honestly, with the way the story is shaping up after suramar, the horde might be gaining nightborne while the alliance finally gets their coveted tiny faction of high elves.

Arrow wasnt ment for Genns son. His son died because of his choice.

Dwarves and humans didn't give a fuck about eachother untill the Second War, 30-ish years ago. Nor Night Elves and the Alliance, a little over 10 years ago. Nor the Alliance and Draenei, roughly 10 years ago. Or the Gilneans after they abandoned the Alliance.

She didnt care for his son. she just wanted Genn down. And she had chance. But she shot for his father. so your argument is invalid.

Since the start of Mists when Garrosh's character took a 180 and turned from honourable savage warrior king to psycho rage face the Alliance has pretty much held an insurmountably dominant position. I'm sure Blizzard will do something to even the scales again but it would take nothing short of having the Alliance suffer an utterly catastrophic defeat at the hands of the legion while the horde sit back and watch. Or the Alliance internally fractures.

Are you saying she would have willingly spared him, an enemy combatant, if she had the opportunity to kill him?

What im saying is her main focus was Genn. Arrow was for him. Her action was towards Genn.

It wasnt her action what made genns son killed. It was His own action to took that arrow. It was willing sacrifice. Genns son took away his own future willingly. If he choosed differently he would be alive.

Why do you talk about sparing anyone? Cant find logic what this has anything to do with this situation.

So maybe he committed suicide by saving his father's life?

Get out with this bullshit level of logic.

She killed his son, he killed her people - nuff said.

Come on, you watched both Cinematics. The Horde also had no choice to retreat. Thrall was almost down, Vol'jin was wounded to death, the Horde was about to get crushed while the alliance was chatting with Gul'dan...

Both sides lost there, almost equally in fact. The alliance are still ahead.

I would say the Horde and Alliance are pretty much both in equal dire straits during Legion, if we're using political stability as the gauge for "strength." As I see it:

    Horde
    - Lost its Warchief and immediately recognized a successor with decidedly less-than-majority support across the races of the Horde
    - Thrall is currently crippled by doubt and off the board
    - Sylvanas is ignoring the Legion threat and focusing on partisan conflict
    - Dealt a severe defeat at the Broken Shore

    Alliance
    - Lost its High King and immediately recognized a successor who is decidedly unsure of his capabilities and aptitude for leading
    - Velen is consumed by vengeance and pursuing an adjacent agenda
    - Genn is ignoring the Legion threat and focusing on partisan conflict
    - Dealt a severe defeat at the Broken Shore

Both factions are currently reeling from their losses of leadership and morale. I don't think you can say one of them really has a leg up on the other at the current moment.
"We're more of the love, blood, and rhetoric school. Well, we can do you blood and love without the rhetoric, and we can do you blood and rhetoric without the love, and we can do you all three concurrent or consecutive. But we can't give you love and rhetoric without the blood. Blood is compulsory. They're all blood, you see." ― Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
