I can't wait for this to die in the senate (or in the house again if the Senate rewrites it drastically to be less draconian and the Freedom Caucus gets super buttmad) and then all the idiots who voted for this in swing districts to be punished horribly next year.

Im also amazed at the Gall for Republicans to claim that Obamacare was RAMMED THROUGH.. when none of them have even had the time to fully read this bill and the CBO hasn't even scored it yet.
I extended an offer to him awhile back when he was on his Chicago is a Death Trap rhetoric in a previous thread to come visit Lakeview/Roscoe Village. Obviously it didn't go anywhere as the same rhetoric is back strong as it ever was. I'd challenge he's actually set foot within the city with that kind of absolute disgust for the city.
Oh yes, the usual self-proclaimed independent or democrat, but somehow has an entire post history full of pro-Trump propaganda and how Republicans can do no wrong.
Some people somehow believe that as long as they can lie to themselves about something, it means everyone else can't tell it's pure bullshit.

Prediction for the future
Theoretically, if someone was to lose their life as a direct consequence of losing their health care due to this going to congress, would their families be able to sue? I'm not familiar with the US legal system, but from an outsiders point of view it looks as if you can sue over basically anything.
a sad sad day.
Was obama care perfect nope....but it was not bad....otherwise it would have imploded a long time ago.
Any idiot who thinks this is a good move is ....a idiot.
Politicians are really the low life's of the world right now...
think the next world "war" will be the people vs politicians...
Hey, good idea.
First step to determining the fittest is to remove money from the equation and see who can use their own, personal skills to survive from a fresh slate.
Something tells me the majority of people who can afford high level insurance wouldn't last long without their money.
They could sue -- but it would never stand up in court. I'm not familiar enough with the legal system to give you the exact legalese but I'm guessing it is somewhere along the lines that you'd have to prove that Congresses actions were directly responsible for the death -- and that would never hold since the accident, injury, or illness is what killed the person, not congress.
Plus it's a really high bar to hold politicians personally responsible for the laws they pass. In fact I don't know if it's ever happened before.
Luckily in Illinois I won't lose my coverage even if this does passes, but I hope everyone who lives in a southern state (Where Obamacare is wildly popular if you don't mention the name---which is another laughable point that shouldn't even be real) feels the effect of this. Congratulations, you voted against your own interests again by a snake oil salesman.
I'll be surprised if this gets through the Senate. They didn't seem to have an actual plan to do that before passing.
