Yeah, the last 8 years of slow but steady economic growth leading to one of the lowest unemployment rates in decades, the US economy weathering the financial crisis far better than many other countries, improved access to health care leading to more folks getting better coverage (not all roses and sunshine, but it was a good first step) and more.

But no, it was totally an unmitigated disaster. Totes.

I already have plans to liquidate everything I have and donate it (in cash) to a cat shelter in the event of my death.
I mean hopefully you don't have a wife or children or that would be pretty selfish.

Yea i had that same thought. If this becomes law i cant see how the republicans can be expected to retain their supermajority. Imagine if trump vetoed it LOL

also gotta love how now that being hyper partisan and only doing what you think is best for your party and not the country at large is now just common place. and is totally accepted by one side! what a wonderful bright future we have ahead of us.

The CBO is non partisan and their scores are accepted by both parties but the head of the CBO is a republican.

I care more about 24+ million people who are going to lose health insurance than scoring political gotcha points.

Points which mean even less now that Trump is in power, who just flagrantly lies and is accepted by ~40% of the country as true no matter what he's saying.

Low growth is not something to aspire to and the financial crisis has forced a systemic shift in American spending habits which by virtue of America being the last refuge of global consumer demand means that the past crisis has actually set up the next one. That combined with the abysmal foreign policy on behalf of the executive makes me give him like a C-.

Well the bill won't affect me, but it seems kind of shitty for most Americans who are not as lucky as I am.

Still, I have a hard time caring about something that doesn't affect me when there's nothing I can do about it. I didn't vote for these morons.

Moving my other post to this thread:

A party of self proclaimed obstructionists showed a bill through before anyone could go over it or its finacial impact on the country even be analyzed. Before their constituents could call them, before anyone could actual see what was under the veil of lies they were hurrying through.

The House GOP knows its a shit bill. You dont rush a bill, you put your name on it, let everyone read it to see how great it is, go on MSM has a good smug circlejerk to revel in your accomplishments and reelection. And you dont except yourself from said bill.

The House doesnt want it to actually pass, they want it to killed in the Senate just to say they could pass something. But at the same time they only continue to bite their own ass.

It's just people with frail egos showing a complete lack of self reflection.

Oh of course. Theyve made their disdain and loathing for the common folks quite clear.

I guess that differs me from Republicans.
You should look longer term than your next micturition. This gives the Democrats a free pass to make their dream system because when GOPcare inevitably fails the Dems will have license to do just that.

Seven years for what? We already know its going to mean premiums will skyrocket because subsidies are being removed. You can't cut hundreds of billions from healthcare and expect anything else.

I've lived in Chicago for over 40 years and walk the streets at night perfectly fine. The gang crime is isolated in the south side only where gangs have taken over and nobody sane goes there. Never speak again of places you've never been to nor know shit about.

If you are in the states it will affect you, even if you aren't in the individual market. Higher levels of uninsured means the costs get shifted to you and your insurance.
