This is far from my first build and I originally just wanted a small footprint PC for my desk, wifi, silent, capable enough to dabble in smaller games like Diablo... but then the itch hit me as I was building it, I wanted new RGB fans to go with the EVGA RGB cooler, then I ordered the Asus Strix 1050Ti and some custom power cables to tie the RGB theme together. It is still compact, and silent, but it runs Overwatch and Diablo on High/Ultra just fine

Tiny case was a bit of a struggle for cable management and whatnot, but after removing all of the excess hardrive trays, it ended up looking okay I think

    List:

    Under the Hood:

    AMD A10-7870k (4.4g)
    MSI A88X AC V2
    Kingston Hyper X Black 8gb
    ASUS Strix 1050ti O4G
    EVGA CLC 120
    Corsair CXM450w
    Crucial M4 128GB
    WD MyBook 3TB External Drive
    ThermalTake Riing Fans
    Kobra Cables custom power cords

    Peripheral:
BenQ RL24HM (Main Monitor, doubles as my console gaming monitor [original reason for it])
Acer GL Somethin or other 24" (Second monitor)
    M-Audio AV 40
    Razer Ornata
    Razer Mamba Tournament Edition
    Astro A40 TR
Guess I'm too old, cannot stand that RGB craze, looks childish as shit. Good decision to try it on a cheap build though, wouldnt be so hard to be stuck with it for 3-5 years if you dont like it.

Depends on the metal content actually. A lot of pastes have metal in them, even most basic and cheap. Those high metal contect pastes are a bitch to apply though. On the reapplication: it's generally recommended to reapply every year but in most cases you're fine to up to three, in which case dust "felt" between the fins is going to be a major problem, not your paste.

The problem is that RGB practically gets stapled onto every component, especially high end. I just wanted a solid Asus mobo, decent aftermarket card, and good RAM.

With limited choice here in NZ, turns out all 3 of those things that I got light up like a rainbow.

But ultimately I still have a Fractal R5 case (no window), so from the outside it's pretty difficult to see the rave party happening inside :P

RGB is awesome for the fact you can just pick a color. But i actually keep mind cycling cause its the only rgb componenet, looks sick imo.

Well I don't think you pay tax on anything that is less than 60$ GST(which works out to be 400NZD in value). Considering prices in NZ tend to be a bit of a rip you can always explore freight forwarding and such. I bought a gtx 560ti way back when like that and it still worked out cheaper than buying it locally.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.

Using now a Neumann TLM 102 with a Mackie 802 VLZ4. XLR mute is a Rolls MM 11 Pro with (Push To Talk/Push To Mute) on the ground.
I am also pleased with the EIZO screen, the lack of reflection and the great contrast helps a lot with my eyes.

    PC tower is not changed, still a i7@5.2GHz / 1TB SSD RAID0 / 2x 4TB RAID1 / GTX 980

Looking good, I just ordered a fractal design define r5 blackout with window for my computer rebuild later this year.

I like my current phanteks primo, but it's too big to be usefull, going smaller now.

It's an amazing case you won't regret it!
I love the noise isolation feature and the only regret I have is its not with a tempered glass window (the plastic one scratches easily when not taking the proper care while disassembling it).
Otherwise, plenty of space, not too heavy and definitely great bang for your buck.

Nevermind my Sig anymore... And disregard my post from like 2 weeks ago. My motherboard fried on that budget amd crap... So I bought a whole new set up.

    https://pcpartpicker.com/b/ZfP323

Also, since I made that post on pcpp, I got a second, same M.2 for the back slot.

I plan to upggrade to the next generation "1170". Whenever that happens

Just running a laptop due to space and travel constraints. ASUS G752VY-DH78K for those interested on actual specs.

As it stands now, with the 1050ti, overwatch only runs at 70-80fps on ultra. So it wouldn't make much of a difference right now for gaming. I'll probably get a 1440 and 140hz monitor when I get a card that can run it lol.

Does a curved screen effect gaming much? Seems like it's be weird
