A lot better than obamas history of sucking the moddle easts dick. Race baiting black on white hate. And letting his batshit crazy wife go abuse children

Simple, some states chose to not expand medicaid as Obamacare said they should.

That's exactly what Obamacare was designed to do: exacerbate a problem already created by government (though heavy regulation) to the point where it collapses while simultaneously convincing enough voters that medical care/insurance isn't a free market product, then make way for government to take over completely (single payer).

Conservatives have been warning about this for a long time.
Good thing the Republicans were on their best behavior for their own bill then. Oh wait.

And the ACA being the first step towards single-payer would probably be a good thing for you folks. Your system is broken, highest healthcare costs in the world per budget % and yet your citizens still have to pay through the nose or be forced into half-ruinous insurances, before and after the ACA. And while you have some of, if not the best care in the world in places, that's hardly generalized. Let's not act as if wanting to change that model is completely unreasonable.

Well, the alternative doesn't have to be single-payer of course. But something major's gotta change somewhere. And it's not ripping coverage from people and kicking pre-existing conditions to the curb that will fix any real problem.

But why should the people living there and not those that govern be punished?

Those people living there vote in the people that do that, so it is on them for voting in people that care about politics more than them. You get what you vote for.

They voted for the people governing them. And some even protested with signs like this.

Couple that with Pelosi famously saying "We have to pass it to find out what's in it"
I spy a debunked talking point.

and that the Democrats prevented Republicans from actually reading the contents of the bill on the congressional floor and it's self-evident that it was rammed down our throats.

Then those that do vote for the "right" people shouldn't get punished, either way it's still shitty behaviour for a politician to do such a thing and I still don't understand how it can be legal.

A vast majority of them remember what it was like before Obamacare. And they still voted to get rid of Obamacare.

The government has programs for the poor, the elderly, and the children. The people suffering from Obamacare are the majority of people who are now having their resources they put into healthcare insurance, taken from them and given to the few people who drain all of those resources. At the same time their plans no longer covered any of their costs, they are still being charged more, year to year.

I heard MSNBC ask on air a Democratic legislator from Virginia I believe.. "What do you think Republicans should do to fix Obamacare". His answer was "We need to get the young healthy people involved in the plans". His only fix for Obamacare... was to get you 20-somethings, who are already in tens of thousand in debt from universities for career fields that don't exist, taking minimum wage jobs, to pay more of your fair share. So... have fun with the democrats if you want to put them back in power.

I guess it's lose lose... if Republicans are in power, hope you're not the one in a million who has a lifelong ailment. If Democrats are in power, hope you're never a young person, just starting out your life, trying to start a career who finds yourself in debt.

The U.S. Constitution guarantees all citizens "negative rights", not "positive rights".

The "right" of having your health looked after and tended to by a profession is a "positive right" -- ergo, not a "right" at all.

You mean, like, voting and gun ownership?

It is hard to distinguish between "you can have a gun" and "the government can't stop you" as positive/negative. I get what you're saying, but it can be a semantic argument.
