Why the fuck can demon hunters glide but paladins can't

Demon hunters can glide using their wings, well guess what, Avenging Wrath anyone? Remember when Yrel was getting bitch choked by Blackhand and she grew a pair of wings? Paladins can grow wings of light. So why can't they glide just like demon hunters?

the paladin wings are purly light, they are not phsyical wings... also they are MUCH MUCH smaller, also paladins wear heavy as fuck plate armor well demon hunters wear very little leahter

The paladin wings are metaphorical while the demon hunter wings are literal.

I disagree with the idea of this, but there was a glyph in wrath + cata that allowed paladins to slowfall with avenging wrath.

Paladins don't double jump, they generally wear heavy plate and the wings are more of an aesthetic to an effect.

You do realize wearing that much armor severely slows you down, right?

To be fair Yrel's wings were.... much larger than the ones we get for Avenging Wrath but I agree, slow falling with wings to "Descend from the heavens" can fit the class. Gliding does not.

spending alot of time wearing that armor makes you faster, pushing your limit allows you to grow that limit but yeah i feel like that woulda been a good vanilla mechanic
