100% Greek, my family even traced our ancestry to the Komnenoi Byzantine emperors.

but i think people's mental states are products of the times they live within. it's like with animals, right? a female stray dog doesn't have much choice when she goes into heat, she's gonna get fucked, and from everything i see they growl and act aggressive the whole time so i don't think they consent. but they don't go into some mental breakdown over it, cause they're animals, that wild instinct is still there.

now with ancient humans, we were just a little removed from animals in those days. they were within a time when it was common practice to not have a choice when you had sex, so it was just another thing. an ye olde woman was probably just glad to be alive after the ordeal.

it's all about perspective really. their perspective was brutal and harsh, ours is not so much brutal and harsh. i bet an uncontacted tribeswoman would be pretty hardcore too.

Raping and pillaging still happens today as a side effect of war, just like it happened hundreds of thousands of years ago. We're still the same undeveloped, brutally solipsistic primates that we've always been. We're a little more civilized than our ancestors, but not by much. ex. Syria and Rwanda.

Not sure, I know my family tree on my mothers side can be traced back to the late 17th century and those were like a mix of German, polish and romanian but for the past 200 years its just been Danish. So I guess I can consider myself Danish.

Once you start going that far back, it all kind of starts to blend together more than you might suspect, sadly. All of Europe can trace heritage back to royalty from the earlier part of the middle ages in some manner.

For sure. It's just when you get back that far there isn't a lot of options for digging further back to find more information. Lots of people can't trace their's that far back so lucky to at least know. XD
