I used to think I too was Right wing... because of my love for guns, country, and working for everything I have.. Then this past 4 years really put things in perspective - I didn't think Bama was that bad tbh.. and when I swapped from R to D because of trump being so bad - I just see the President as a placeholder rather than a ruler or someone who matters. For all the power they have - they can't really do much other than attack/war level events, and causing a panic in the media lol.

Here's the thing. If you truly cared about the republican party you would not have ever supported Trump. Nor would you have voted for him last Nov, because its been exceedingly obvious since the first day he arrived on the political scene in the primaries that he was political cancer. That he would do severe harm to everything he touched. And lo and behold we are three months in and that's exactly what is happening. If you actually cared about the republican party you'd want him gone ASAP, but you don't because its not the party you care about its winning and being on the winning team. Thus you could not take a short term loss in having the better candidate (Clinton) win, despite it being the best result long term for the republican party. Well now you get to see the republican party destroyed as Trump does his bull in a china shop impression.

yup. and it was a solid point. they had the intel to save american lives and didn't act on it. here, democracy didn't play out the way they wanted and they're throwing a fit. Which is a decent move short term, can show that their representatives need to act very well or plan their concession speech for 2018. but this is also the type of outrage that tends to fade very quickly and quietly if people get bored, or just fed up with the constant protesting fucking up their morning drive/drive home.
