Nah, just wait for Legion to join Nostalgialand. Check threads: "what was best WoW expac?" in 3-4 years and you will see people arguing if WoTLK or Legion was best (and shitting on current expac at the same time of course).
BTW, check this: https://www.gamespot.com/forums/pc-m...-wow-25902237/
The AP system is too grindy and the time gating sucks ass. I don't want to be chained to my main every day to stay marginally competitive, I'd eventually like to play some alts.
Destruction spec has been shit up through 7.2. This is bullshit! Destro should be the raiding spec by default, Affliction for PvP and Demo for support and questing.
It's for these reasons why I give it an 8.0.
There are things I like. I like that it's a tighter story with clearer goals. I like that there is a lot to do as you level. I like that it made some hard choices to switch up the status quo a little.
I dislike that the game has become so grindy and leads towards the path of eeking just another sliver of a resource to become a tiny bit more "powerful". I dislike the fact that it's harder to lose myself in the environment and enjoy exploration. I dislike the fact that my character is less my avatar into the world, and more just a figurine I use that lacks any sense of permanency and is more about use that motivation.
Legion isn't bad at all. It does a lot of things that people like. I just feel like it's pulled the game away from the direction I enjoyed.
I definitely like the content better, than any other.
I still like class design in WotLK better though.
9/10
Can't really decide since expansion isn't over yet.
THE HORDE WILL ENDURE
THE HORDE IS STRONG!
Its too easy to get bites with a thread like this. I do however give Legion a solid 9 out of 10.
It certainly is better than every expansion except TBC.
The current ranking goes like this:
1) TBC
2) Legion
3) WotLK
4) WoD
5) Cataclysm
6) Mop
1-3 are all very close to eachother in terms of how great they were / are.
4-5 are both very good expansions, but just not quite up to the quality that 1-3 are. I enjoyed playing both of these
6 is just plain dogshit and should never have been made. There were some good additions to game functionality that made it during this one, but overall the expansion was just plain shit.
I suspect it'll be remembered very well but we won't really know until we're into the next expansion.
I think Legion has been really good! However, I dont play anymore, simply burned out on WoW. I think it IS the best expansion ever, however, the game has been out for so long now that it is hard for people to find new things/experiences to love. I remember playing Wrath and loving the shit out of it, I was in the minority then, people hated on Wrath so bad. Now it seems Wrath is one of the best expacs...its simple, the playerbase is burned out, the formula hasnt really changed. I would love to play WoW again, and have fun like I used to but the spark is gone. But it WoW will go down as one of the best experiences in my life, I've had so much fun and have met many cool peeps.

More dungeons in Wotlk?
Yeah, but most of them SUCK in comparison to the new dungeons in Legion. Many of them are really similarly colored while each of the Legion dungeons feels colorful and memorable. There are 16 Wotlk dungeons, and there are 13 in Legion. There will most likely be 1 or 2 more dungeons by the end of the expansion. Also, M+ adds a LOT more replayability and fun compared to the old 'Grind mind-numbingly easy HCs to farm currency'. M+ can even be a fun challenge if you go higher than +15. Some even find an intense and fun challenge at +10 or +11.
Questing? I will give you that, Wotlk had a lot more going on with questing and zones, at least in the beginning. But aside from leveling quests, there is suramar too, and class quests/artifact quests, which were a LOT more fun (and still are on diff chars), than anything that you will replay in Wotlk 10 times (unless you are a LK fanboi).
More raids? Do you know how many times more complex raiding is now than back then? Some bosses are also really, really, really horrible in Wotlk. There are some bad ones in Legion too, but Wotlk is not even close to the raiding quality of Legion. Have you forgotten the world bosses by the way? Because it may not be raiding content to you, but to me they look just as unimpressive as the whole naxx reskin, onyxia, malygos and saltharion or w/e his name is. Ruby sanctum too. So Legion has
EN - 7
ToV - 3
NH - 10
ToS - 10
World bosses - 12-14?
Another unannounced raid which will most likely have 10 bosses.
That will make a grand total of 52-54 bosses.
Wotlk had around that much too. So gtfo with your 'There were more raaaaaaids UA UA UA UA' comment.
Justice/Valor system? Fuck this shit, grinded it in cata and MoP, it sucked 10 times more than AP which actually empowers your wep. Group finder also helps you get instantly upgrades you would have to farm weeks for back in the old days by grinding stupid currency.
The only problems Legion has are too much time gating and a bit too much RNG here and there. This is the reason its rated as '8' by me in the poll. MoP gets a 10 for me for doing all the things Legion did, without relying on fanservice as much, and not having this RNG bullshit or too much time gating.
Ehmmmm I'll just say that the current patch is lame in comparsion to my favorite, 5.2. It's a good game, but not a good World of Warcraft.
I give it a 7. Definitely one of the better expansions, but the deterioration of the game into a strictly paced shameless casino is pretty ominous, and Legion loses points because of that.
4-5 for me as a Casual player.
Of course it's top level systems are good because its had 10 years of refinement, but the core philosophy of the game is garbage generally these days, especially for me. I spend more time receiving welfare then actually doing anything worthwhile (90% of the game is trivial garbage and the last 5/10% is specialized Mythic Raiding)
Made a good remark here.

Content drought is a combination of catchup mechanics and no new content.
