Anduin will lead the Army of the Light in the final battle.
Not sure that was ever in the forecast for Arthas.

Before we argue about what class Anduin is, ask yourself what class was Vol'jin? He used a bow, glaive, and voodoo spells. What about Thrall? He's been both warrior and shaman.

Granted, Golden wouldn't really do terribly much to improve the trainwreck that Warcraft Lore has become.
Besides Lord of the Clans, she is a shitty, shitty writer. Just no.

God here's hoping Christie Golden was just hired to be the head writer for warcraft.

Maybe one day we'll stop having game developers craft a story.
That's funny enough, considered that is Golden herself who wrote Anduin in a way that suggested the boy to be no melee-fighter material whatsoever.

Vol'jin was a shadow hunter. Thrall was a warrior, then he became a shaman.

Exactly. Both exceeded the normal confines of game mechanics. There's no reason to think Anduin won't do the same.

Or he will understand that to achieve true peace, one has to fight for it. Also, the first Paladins were all Priests first, with no exception. It's a common thing that Human Paladins are trained as some kind of acolyte, because they draw the Light from their faith alone: Humans don't have Naarus, empowered Sunwell or other gimmicks to infuse Light powers upon them.

Except for the ones who were knights.

It's amusing how Volume 2 outright states that Saidan, Tirion, Uther, and Gavinrad were knights yet people still toss around that priest word like it's candy. Headcanon is a hell of a drug.
