It's to remove fat from a certain area (belly, legs, arms, butt). You can't target certain areas, outside of liposuction. You can reduce fat overall but if you genetically are prone towards weight gain in a certain area (like the thighs), that might be the last place that you end up losing it.

meh either way they're only going to stay in shape, physically it won't harm them, only mentally if they become completely obsessed, but people with those kinds of mental body issues will go to 1 extreme or another this class hardly seems like the worst thing in the world.

still better than sitting on your ass doing no exercise.

What about a workout that doesn't work out your legs and so doesn't give you large thighs but still burns a lot of calories?

Sure, there's a demand for it. Mostly, if not only because of fat shaming men, who make women constantly feel like shit about themselves.

Also, gender-related threads (which this is) are not allowed. Did you forget, or is that you just don't care?

I guess doctors hate him as well? It is one easy trick? You just need to do this work out for 1 second?

I hate what fitness has become...

I mean, I run a lot and I don't have large thighs...a lot of muscle gain/fat storage is genetic.

That being said, someone who has low bodyfat and doesn't have at least a small thigh gap would probably be a genetic anomaly.

If there is a demand for it, and individuals want to put in the hard work and dedication to achieve a thigh gap, then really, what's the issue?
I think a lot of people are idiots when it comes to training and bodies.

A thigh gap is genetically determined, but you can still be so fat it's not there. I don't see a problem in helping people who could have a thigh gap attain that goal. It's not unhealthy, only the obsession some young girls put into getting something they're genetically incapable of is a problem.

I'm don't see how a therapist specialized in eating disorders is more qualified to talk about training than a gym instructor who is also a physical therapist.

Fixing posture, both in your back and hips can make you taller than you were before the fix.

Fitness has always been a shit concept marketed at lazy people.

For those who aren't mindless consumers it's training, not fitness.

I love how it's always "we want to look better to other women" until you can blame men about it. It's other women making you feel bad. They're your competition.

Nothing wrong with advertising to the goals of your costumers. Especially not when the goal is getting in better shape.

Just seems like more manufactured outrage.

Bio-mechanically speaking, my guess would be a wide pelvis and being skinny obviously.

Seems like a non issue, if you want a thigh gap, go to the class, if you're not bothered about one, dont. Simple.

Isn't this mostly genetic? Because I don't see many skinny girls with that gap.

I thought it was a lot due to bone structure. My gf has a thigh gap, i just thought it was because of her wide hips more than anything

Thank GOD for this load of insecurities we've been able to instill in women. I fucking love the thigh gap lmao

Yeah i guess if your thighs are skinny enough you'd have the gap regardless, but that doesn't seem like a healthy thing to aim for if you don't have it naturally. I guess i never really understood the obsession with thigh gap anyway

Not a big fan of the thigh gap personally so this isn't something I'd support.
