there's no way of knowing the chance is lower. the first week of broken shore, I got a legendary in a day, bought a relinquished the next day and it also became a legendary.

They stated it during 7.2 PTR phase.. look it up on their Twitter if you need a source. Logic alone will tell you the answer, tho.

That's not what it says. It's a reasonable interpretation, but it doesn't say anything about getting legendaries from dauntless tokens.

Needless to say, I don't bet my ass on dauntless and I won't spend my shards on dauntless.

Still, I switch to a secondary spec when I'm turning the dauntless I got form looting corpses.
And wish for a miracle.

People there and elsewhere CLAIM you can get them from Dauntless and that they have, but 0 proof has come out.
That was the purpose of the video - attempting to get some one to link a video of them getting a dauntless piece to turn into legendary.

100 percent confirmed you can get them from relinquished though.

Check the comments and see if you believe what those dudes are saying.

I havent even got a warforge from them dauntless.... I did like 60 dauntless at a time.

I've gotten a legendary from a regular clickable treasure chest in azsuna so wouldn't be surprised if dauntless can drop legendaries aswell, just very small drop chance. But then again until we have proof of them dropping we can't tell for sure.

I just received my 1st legendary on my druid *just now* when creating a blue Dauntless Ring. It came from questing on the island so it's entirely possible to come from both sources.

These people have heard claims. They want proof. At the very least, a screenshot of your chat log showing you getting the dauntless ring and then a legendary shortly after would be the bare minimum, though it wouldn't be a 100% confirmation.

incorrect, you can get legendaries from dauntless ( i did for example) but it is a VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY!!! low chance, much much lower then the relinquished chance

No from dauntless, yes from relinquished. I had a relinquished turn to legendary. Was annoying too because my legendaries were already good and now I was out 5k with no 880 piece. Couldn't replace any gear.

You got a legendary ring after you got an Avenging Band of the Aurora, that's all it really shows. For skeptics that's not actually proof. It doesn't show that you had a dauntless token, you could have just used a dauntless token and a relinquished one right after. Or 2 relinquished in a row since they can give you the same items as the dauntless, but at 880 base.

Personally I don't doubt it, it seems like almost anything can drop a legendary if your bad luck protection is high enough. I got one from killing a rare mob on the Broken Shore on my Shaman. But for those who don't believe it, the screenshot doesn't actually help.

I had 2 prot legendaries on my warr and 1 for fury specc from other sources. Then I get legendary cloak as 2nd legendary for fury spec from that cheap token. So it's possible. But getting first 2 legendaries for each spec is easier you know.

So I know you can get a legendary from cheap tokens but it's a very very low chance. Since I had lots of tokens on other chars that has 2+ legendaries for a spec and never had one on them. Don't bother to waste nethershard on cheap tokens if you have 2+ legendaries already for that spec you are aiming for imo. Going for epic(relinquished) one would be a lot better for your chance to get one against rare(dauntless)one.

There's not going to be any concrete proof unless someone records in video every single time they open a dauntless one which is a complete waste of time to prove idiots wrong. You can see the order of how the loot arrived. Believe it or don't. I had read this thread earlier and bam it happened so I came back to post.
