Bought The Unicorn List. Need Help With Installation

Hello. So I bought everything from the unicorn list and I am following the installation video that was stickied.

I'll use this thread to post all my questions while doing my build.

----RESOLVED---My first question is in regards to the heatseat. I bought the NH-D15 that was on the unicorn list. It came with three sets of instructions: AMD, LGA2011, and LGA 115x. Which set do I follow?-----RESOLVED----

---RESOLVED---See latest post below for second question.---RESOLVED--

---RESOLVED----See latest post below for third question.---RESOLVED---

---RESOLVED---See latest post below for fourth question. --RESOLVED--

---RESOLVEDSee latest post below for fifth question.----RESOLVED

    HOLY SHIT WE DID IT!!

But what do I do now?

---RESOLVED ---EDIT 1: At BIOS. See latest post---RESOLVED

    Edit 2: Downloading drivers.

If you purchased the i5-7600K, then LGA 115x

Thank god for the quick reply. Thank you

I am on the step in the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls @14:58) and I did not hear the beep when my computer turned on.

All I saw was a light on the left side (see pic) that went from red to yellowish-greenish(I think) to green and it stayed at green.

There was stuff that was showing on the monitor that and it was the whole BIOS thing where it was checking my temperature of my mother board and other data.

The fans were working too for both the graphics card and the heat sink.

Am I still good to go or is the no beeb concerning?

Not sure I've ever heard one of my mobo's beep in this situation. Then again I don't power it on until it's in the case.... so there's that. If you reached the bios and it wasn't screaming errors at you - you're good to go.
I sat alone in the dark one night, tuning in by remote.
I found a preacher who spoke of the light, but there was Brimstone in his throat.
He'd show me the way, according to him, in return for my personal check.
I flipped my channel back to CNN and lit another cigarette.

And this speaker usu comes with the case. Not all cases come with speakers.

I am at 35:08 in the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls) where I am hooking up the HDD LED, PWR PLED+/- "needle cables.

My question now is whether or not I am supposed to have an HDD + and -? My case only came with the following: http://imgur.com/a/VPAvJ

The HDD LED from my case doesn't have +/-. Am I supposed to plug it in "sideways" where one socket on the + and one socket is on the -

OH I think im reading the labels wrong lol. Sit tight, let me readjust and uplaod another pic soon.

EDIT: Okay. Would someone be able to look at the two pics and see if I did this correctly before I attach it to the motherboard. http://imgur.com/a/FfWfM

I don't have the so called "fire wire header" as the video shows at 35:33 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls

I'm assuming this doesn't come with the case from the unicorn list and that not all cases will have this?

    Is this needed?

FireWire is Apple's alternative to USB. Very few cases have this.

At 38:07 in the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d_56kyib-Ls there is a white port. However, the motherboard that I bought from the unicorn list only came with all gray. See pictures: http://imgur.com/a/qi57W So I don't really need to worry about which wire goes into which correct?

Also, since there is only three, am I'm inputting one wire from the hard drive, one wire from the ssd, and one wire from the hard drive into their own gray socket meaning that none of them share a socket correct?

The 3 Black are the 6Gbit Sata ports and the 6 Black on the bottom are the 3Gbit ones and ofc you want to use the faster 6Gbit.

I DID IT!! IT WORKS. ALL THE FANS ARE RUNNING. My keyboard and mouse work.

What do I do now? There's a lot of stuff showing on my monitor and I don't know what to do next.

You are in BIOS. First of all move your SSD to the top of the boot priority list and enable XMP. Read up about overclocking next and when you are ready enter Advanced Mode (F7).

Did I do your first recommendation as asked? http://imgur.com/a/jsiG5
For the fans, the speed is set to standard: http://imgur.com/a/OPyuQ Since I got all my parts from unicorn list, should I set it to higher than that or just keep it at full speed?

Looks good. I dont see any fan readings other than CPU Fan, I'm not sure how many you got, but make sure those are connected directly to the motherboard chassic fan headers. Fan profiles heavily depend on your preferences, just make sure to have CPU fan at 100% if your CPU is at or over 75-80 C.

In regards to the fans, my case has two fans. There is also a fan on the power supply and the graphics card.

I can't directly connect the fans to the motherboard. I think I need help with that. The chassis fan (the ones that came with the case) only have three pins while the chassis fan outlet on the motherboard has four.

Is it okay to just connect the fans directly to the power source? It is getting cramped in the case with all the wires everywhere.

3 pins can go on 4 pin plug.

    Ohh okay thank you.

Also, should I enable the EZ_XMP?

It's not a problem that they only have 3 pins, you just wont be able to control the RPM, you are still gonna be able to read it (also some ASUS boards have the option of controling 3 pin fans, apparently through voltage modulation). The header has a key so you cant connect it incorrectly.

This wont do anything for you since you already did the settings in the BIOS. This switch is for overclockers who cannot POST with XMP enabled while overclocking (this is a known ASUS boards limitation).
