one time I brought up how ridiculous it is that something like a giraffe would drop mail boots but I was told "it's just a game" but when it comes to skimpy armor "ooooh whoa that's just not realistic!" like what fuck people.

People can wear whatever the hell they want but I stand by what I say, its immature and cringe worthy that grown men are running around with female avatars and getting mad over a lack of bikinis. If that's the type of game they want then I encourage them to go try some Japanese rpgs.
It could also be argued that it's immature and cringeworthy that grown men are running around with pixel avatars period. Why it'd somehow be more or less immature to play a female character and maybe enjoy revealing armor is beyond me.
Of course, not everyone playing a female character is a man, nor is every person liking revealing armor a man.
I must say that I haven't seen a lot of people complaining about the lack of "bikinis" though... As the OP stated, it tends to be met with hefty protests if someone raises the question.
And then one has to ask; How immature and cringeworthy is it to become upset about how someone wants to dress their characters in a game? Spoiler; Very.
People aren't mad over a lack of revealing outfits, in fact this whole thread is about the opposite, people who are mad they exist. Armor exists for your tastes, armor exists for theirs. They don't insult you or your tastes while you insult them and theirs. That's the whole point of this thread, why you feel the need to judge and criticize and demean something that other people enjoy, but you don't have to take part in.
I said they can do what they want but that's my feelings on the subject and if Blizzard was taking feedback for or against more skimpy armor I will be against it, other peoples tastes be damned. There's enough slutmogs in the game already.

It isn't but you call me what you want.
Watch out, we got a prudes brigade rising up with pitchforks here.
More skimpy armor please! Make it ultra HD too - 8K please!
I didn't call you anything, I'm just pointing out that your arguments all come from a certain area. I have no idea who you are, or what you believe, just that your style of discourse here is definitely coming off a certain way.
And while we're on the subject, passing sweeping judgements on an entire widely diverse population because they share one like is immature and pretty close-minded. You know as much about the people on the other side of this argument as they do about you. Which is next to nothing, so basing your entire stance on insults directed at things you have zero knowledge or proof of, is also immature.
I think the real question is why do you want to look at a slutty pixelated character while you're playing a video game that has no sexual component to it? What is wrong with you? Can't you just take a 10 minute pornhub break?
Knowledge or proof of what? I'm not trying to prove anything. I simply don't want more slutmogs added to a game that already has a negative stigma surrounding it now lets add on some pixel boobs just to really drive it home. No thanks. It's not like I'm demanding Blizzard remove all the metal bikini mogs in the game I simply don't want more added. And objectively they're lazy and uninspired from a design standpoint.
Why does it have to be sexual? Revealing armor can feel empowering. Some of us don't particularily like our appearance in real life, fantasy games are a way to play what you wish you could be. I would be willing to bet most of the people who wear this type of armor aren't getting off to it in any real way. Not everyone is so black and white.
I think it only works for certain games, with wow it just looks bad in general with how dated it is, kinda the same for Tera but with Black Desert Online the models are actually decent and everything falls into place and doesn't look odd.
Because you can have a man in a loin cloth walking around your garrison, or a half naked illidan, and all the half naked orc dudes in the world . . . but as soon as some feminist sees a belly button on a female they say its bad. People have had enough of it but companies like Blizzard hear a vocal minority and think it is what people want now.
I'm not sure. I'd love some metal thongs on my male characters.
If you think Blizzard thinks that, I would suggest you take a saunter over to heroes of the storm. Revealing costumes all over the place. They understand that you can please both crowds, which is ultimately what this argument is about. Blizzard has catered to both, but only one side wants the other side to not get what it wants. The question is why?
