Sigh, people really need to dig more into subjects than a single video, or just looking at sites that are there to confirm their suspicions. Unfortunately, the OP has fallen victim to the logical fallacy of "Appeal to Authority"...and, more specifically, "Appeal from False Authority".

I am not really terribly interested in global warming. Like most physicists I don't think much about it. But in 2008 I was in a panel here about global warming and I had to learn something about it. And I spent a day or so - half a day maybe on Google, and I was horrified by what I learned. And I'm going to try to explain to you why that was the case.

    - Ivar Giaever {person in the linked video}
    https://www.skepticalscience.com/iva...scientist.html

It's worth reading the entire article I've linked here as it explains the bad assertions and assumptions that Ivar made in his talk.

At this point we're 9 minutes into Giaever's 32-minute presentation, and he begins comparing climate science to religion. Yet based on his arguments in those first 9 minutes, it's clear that Giaever has not done even the most basic climate research, so how can he possibly make such a radical determination?

While Giaever is certainly a highly accomplished physicist, that does not automatically make him a climate expert as well. As Giaever himself has admitted, he has spent very little time researching the subject, and it shows. He simply bounces from one climate myth to the next, demonstrating a lack of understanding of Climate Science 101, and then insults the entire scientific field by comparing it to a religion, bringing life to the xkcd cartoon at the top of this post.
If you like to watch videos, here are a couple from Nobel Laureates who have actually researched the topics in their presentations:

    http://www.mediatheque.lindau-nobel....hropocene-2012

    http://www.mediatheque.lindau-nobel....te-change-2012

If you would like more mundane explanations for what is going on, Phil Plait does a good job of explaining the complexities of it all, and why global warming is indeed happening.

    http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astro...ier_claim.html

    http://www.slate.com/blogs/bad_astro..._happened.html

Additionally, there are a plethora of resources available that give tons of evidence and proof...here are a small sampling of different types:

https://climate.nasa.gov/evidence/ (go there while you still can as I'm sure the current administration will be working to erase that info eventually)

    http://www.rollingstone.com/politics...-math-20120719

https://webcache.googleusercontent.c...&ct=clnk&gl=us (Libertarian CATO Institute agrees its real)

Interestingly, here are some stories of die hard climate warming skeptics who changed their minds after actually digging deep into the evidence:

    https://theintercept.com/2017/04/28/...t-for-science/

    http://www.cnn.com/2016/08/24/opinio...hange-weather/

http://www.care2.com/causes/climate-...-his-mind.html (for those not familiar, Professor Richard Muller was the loudest critic of climate change and one of the most powerful leaders...until his own study led him to the truth)

A very recent and amusing article on the subject...Fox News acknowledged that climate change is real just before Trump officially pulled out of the Paris agreement - https://www.vox.com/policy-and-polit...te-change-real

Depending on your viewpoint depends if you're open to rational discussion (which if you're A) you're not as you're FACTUALLY wrong.).

Also, the majority of people, myself included, don't actually have the data or evidence to prove it's real, we (as believers) just trust what we're being told.

Your "evidence" is one terrible video, and you are following it like the blindest sheep that ever lived. You have no understanding of the subject whatsoever, and neither does the fool in the video.

The rest of us, people who actually have brain cells, rely on decades of research and the work of thousands of scientists working all over the world.

well, after all youre right, as you said, the world will not meet is end in 2017, or life, for the global warming. Not even the humanity.

But civilisation will go awry. And it will be funny to people usually protected from harm when we will see the first batch of "gobal warming deportation" people coming a little everywhere because their country have sink/is now a living crematorium with no agriculural future/other shit who could be triggered by it.

Ho, and since youre from france, remember 2003. Global warming is surely not a problem, its just a little hotter than beforen, right ?

When I first typed that out I put three types, but I couldn't for the life of me remember the "third reason" - Thanks!

I don't really believe either side anymore.

    How I see it:
Temperatures are rising, as they seem to to every so many decades/centuries. Do we speed up the process? Sure, sounds plausible.
Do these climate agreements actually change anything? Well, maybe they decrease the speed with which we increase the process, but likely we still increase the speed because there are so many humans on this earth now and even more in the coming decades.

That said, agreements like the one signed in Paris can at least make our environment a cleaner and healthier one, which is something we all benefit from.

This is the first part in a series of videos talking about climate change. If you give it a chance, I think you'll find it informative. It tells my side of this much better than I can.

I think that perhaps you're just against climate change because you want to be against "the establishment", rather than basing your opinion in facts and reason. There's no downside to starting a development for cleaner energy. Cleaner air, cleaner oceans, cleaner soil. I encourage you to consider the benefits.

But he checked the source for hundreds of thousands in his bank account was from oil companies. It was enough source apparently.

Sunspots are on an 11 year cycle and TSI has decreased slightly - so we'd expect to see the opposite of what we are seeing if those are the drivers of the observed warming.

    Sad.

Educate yourself instead of listening to fringe morons on the internet. You can literally watch the glaciers melt in Alaska, they are receding at a rate of several feet per year.
