Posted on the thread in the profession forums on the wow official forums...but man this is ridiculous....The boss has spawned once all expansion.....I would love to have rank 3 for the chance at procs....to make gold and also for myself....Anyone else stuck with rank 2 and getting frustrated cause the world boss hasn't spawned in the last 3+ months?

My pally has it, but my DH wich I made after the boss was up the one only freakin time does not. And ye, its annoying. What are they thinking?

Why are you surprised? It's not like r3 of any alch recipe has any reasonable chance to proc, so why would the boss dropping the recipe should spawn?

Its a near useless rank anyway. Given that you make 10 pots by default yet only get the same amount of bonus procs as any other rank its a very small increase.

As an owner and user of the recipe, it usually procs 1-3 pots and not so often. You probably don't lose much by not having it, except levelling alch points.

Yeah, I've never got more than 2 bonus potions since getting the recipe for rank 3.

A side thought: Is there actually a way to get to 800 without a rank 3 recipe?

Its a slow process, but there are dark moon fair quests once a month that grant +5 points to your skill up to cap.

Darkmoon faire Alch q, gets you 5 points in alch each time the event is up.

My main got it whe the boss spawned obivously.

But I now have 2 alch alts with TONS of blood who await to craft potions. And while I could burn them without the 2rd rank, I feel it's a waste as long as my main still has enough blood to cover my needs (and some friends obviously "hey have some pot please ?".

My main also still miss the rank 3 stam flask, but I stopped trying to proc it as stam flask are pretty much useless by now.

I got 30 once, usually average on like 11 though. But yeah, does not do that much. Lowers the cost of making 10 pots 75 copper!

See...some people just like having all the ranks of everything...I've made over 500 Flasks(combined) on my shaman and DK no rank 3 procs, thousands of potions no rank 3 procs, and now the one element that shouldnt necessarily be rng...is worse than the other two since the boss has spawned once.

It can proc up to 100, sure its not as strong as other pots but its still good.

Oh yeah, I want rank 3 on all, dont get me wrong. On my "main" alchemist I made 500-600 int flask ++ and no rank 3. Got rank 3 on stam one after 5 made at rank2.. 200+ strength flask still rank 2, got agility pretty early, around 100.

Luckily it seems they have planned to up the rate you get rank3 on stuff in 7.2.5.

And my main, with enchanting. Still missing rank 3 on the Distant Army neckenchant. Sure its one of the least used one, but still sucks not to have it after all these Renferal-kills.

Prolonged power is a peculiar case since it really does not do much compared to others, but seeing as the boss has only spawned once, it really sucks anyway!

I had Alchemy at the start of the Expansion and got the Rank 3.
Then unlearned Alchemy (for another profession) and now I have to re-learn all the ranks because apparently using the "re-learn book" doesn't give you the ranks.
That's a silly system if you ask me.

it's a world boss spider in the catacombs in Suramar. The spawn rate is extremely low. I've only seen it up once in like December.
